So a car just slammed into my apartment building.

Im sitting in my living room playing MLB 08. Next thing I know I hear tires screeching, and huge boom. I literally felt my apartment moving. I look out the window and a car is peeling off the grass and then slams into a tree across the little road in front of my apartment. I run outside and the girl driving the car is trying to get away.

I guess she was coming to a party my neighbors were having. I called 911. Then she tried to get away, my wife grabbed her and threw her to the ground.

Turns out she was completely trashed. She is only 18 too. She ended up hitting a tree then slammed into my building right below my living room window. 2 guys were out front when it happened, one was in a wheelchair because he was hit by a car a couple years ago. She ended up missing them by inches.

I just can't believe this happened. Stupid drunk 18 year old chic driving.

I'm just glad no one was hurt.

drunk driving, people are complete idiots. I know it's been said before but we need tougher laws against drunk driving so crap like this can be prevented

Having a DWI on my record now, I've learned my lessons. But it makes me sick that this kinda stuff happens every day, I know I'll never do it again.

What an idiot. Glad to hear no one was hurt. THat poor guy in the wheel chair mustve had his life flash before his eyes. 18 years old too, Whole world in front of her and she comes close to ruining it.

....misread your post and thought you said the guy in the wheelchair had his accident a couple of years ago(being the only one)....didn't realize he WAS outside in front at the time.

I'm sorry but you have no idea what you are talking about.

It's 100% logical to be able to get a DUI and pay a $500 fine and be able to rack up 3 before you go to jail. Lets put the gov. resources all towards punishing the real criminals, those who download music and copy movies and throw them in the slammer and fine them thousands of dollars.

If it takes some famous person to get killed or kill someone else to get the message that drunk driving it not something you should do then this country is truly full of stupid people. Hell there are so many famous people getting nailed driving drunk and people don't care.

Wasn't Princess Diana killed because of drunk driving? Sure, she wasn't the one behind the wheel, but even still.

This whole story is terrible. I hope everybody involved is alright and that your apartment building is repaired.. I can't say I feel one bit sorry for the consequences this girl is going to have to go through.
