Every school I've visited has "that" fraternity house.Comment

Yep, I checked my e-mail box and sure enough, what Blzer posted was there.
I hope those people accept their punishment and move on. They made a bad decision and hopefully they learn from it.Comment

Re: San Diego State drug bust
I didn't hear about this until my classmates told me there was a huge drug bust on campus! I was surprised! But why SDSU? Why can't they also check out other campuses too then? There might be these same drug ring problems around the nation too.
I just hope people can see that it's not SDSU's fault. I just don't like to get a bad reputation for going to a school that had a huge drug bust. Oh well, that's the way some people view things I guess, though I hope they won't be.
By the way, would this hurt SDSU's sports recruiting in any way?Comment

But that's just me, obviously other people will look at this differently.Comment

Re: San Diego State drug bust
I have about 20 friends who go there, and theyve talked to me about it. All i know is, they ve been getting away with it for awhile.
Everytime i would go down there to visit friends, people are smoking weed or doing lines of coke. But just like every school, partying is a main draw and until EVERY school does something about it. Things will just keep going onCharger Fan Born and Raised!

Re: San Diego State drug bust
This happened at SDSU, but you could fill any school's name in there and it wouldnt surprise me. Alot of people in their late teens early twenties make choices in college that arent the smartest. Its part of the belief that you are bullet proof when youre young.Check out my Tampa Bay Buccaneers CFM Thread.
You too can be a 5* recruit at FSU.......

Re: San Diego State drug bust
it would probably be more difficult for kids in say Ohio to get their hands on so much cocaine.

Re: San Diego State drug bust
It makes them cheaper, but that's about it. If they're cheaper on a top level, they're cheaper on the bottom, so the profit margins are pretty much the same. While there is definitely more cocaine (and far cheaper) in cities like Atlanta or Miami than DC or New York, it only really affects the middle-lower class. Rich frat kids are going to get the cocaine they desire, and there will always be someone there ready to take their money.Comment

but i wonder what kind of pipeline the dealers had. I imagine there is more access in San Diego for sellers than most places. These kids had a pipeline....Im curious if a cartel recruited the college kids to sell for them on campus. If so, those kids should be careful in the upcoming legal process obviously or they could put their families in dangerLast edited by ZB9; 05-07-2008, 02:22 PM.Comment

I hear ya. Wherever there is demand, there will be supply, no matter where they are.

The new high school I went to for 2 years was full of rich-prep kids and cocaine was a known problem within the campus instead of the typical pot. Arellano Felix and his cartel would be/has been the major cartel being sought after. Whenever you go through the border you see the poster board for him and then his now captured brothers.

Like some people said, most colleges/universities have drug issues.

Re: San Diego State drug bust
Yeah that could be one good thing to help keep it from happening again. The fraternities will probably be pulled by either the school or national chapter. So they would have to take it off campus and you wouldn't have the group of people together as easily as you could in one house.Comment

Up until a few years ago, I've never had an issue with Baja but now it definitley is a very weird feel and won't go down anymore..Even sold the house that was 4 hours south of Ensenada and not in a town.Aaron
