    Re: Being in love

I'm probably the stupidest guy on earth. I've been with my first GF for 5.5 years! That's the worst thing to do - especially when we didn't even fit...What was I thinking about?! After that I had a GF for 1 month (only 1 month but it was nice), 3 months and twice 1 month. But eventually it all lead to meeting my wife so it was worth it.
    My Specs:

    ZX Spectrum
    CPU: Z80 @ 3.5 MHz
    GPU: Monochrome display
    RAM: 48 KB
    OS: Sinclair BASIC

I've been with my first girlfriend for 2.5+ years. There are times when I knew things might have been smoother if I had a previous one (to know whether some things are really that big of a deal), but its still working out very well. The way I view it, we've already been through a lot, especially with me going away to school so we had a long distance relationship for 6 months, during which her dad nearly died and her grandfather hospitalized after being shot. I don't think it was stupid, if it all led up to meeting your wife, it was worth it.

True, meeting my wife was like the grand prize waiting at the end

              I don't believe in love.

And I'm not trying to be clever. I really don't.

I feel sad for you...I can't imagine living life not believing in love. I'm sure it works for you, I just cannot imagine it...that'd be so depressing to me.

I knew I was in love when I wanted to spend every day of the rest of my life with my wife. You also know you're in love when you accept your significant others' faults and they really don't bother you. That is love IMO.

I had a pretty serious crush on a girl in High School, and we dated off, and on. So what did I do? I married one of her best friends! I know I'm cool.

Thats some sad *hi* right there Yankee. I waited till I was 30 before I got married( having way to much fun) but man do I think God for my wife of 5 years everyday. How in the hell she puts up with my videogaming, going to Cubs game, Nascar races, Notre Dame games and watching Sportscenter 16 hours a day, I'll never know.

I have no idea what I would do w/o her though.....and yes she drives me crazy sometimes, but I bet I drive her crazy a lot more

I always defined love as when you care more about that person, then you care about yourself...that says something

U must have meant that hate is more common than love. Well, unfortunately it's true, but it doesn't mean there's no love.
