X I'm glad to hear you're going to try and get into the music business. I know how much of a hip-hop head you are.. hopefully doors open up.

I haven't told anyone here this, but I'm in a similar boat. I started college away in Illinois for a semester until I transfered to Hawaii. Things seemed ok, but then one day during my first (and only) semester in Hawaii I was informed I would be no longer getting financial aid until I could find a suitable co-signer. Problem is you have to be 24 to get a student loan on your own. If your Stafford and Perkins loans don't cover what you owe, you're out. Well my parents owned a business and had to file bankruptcy on it, so the banks didn't care about my credit, but rather about my parents and rejected me.

Long story short, I'm living back at home so I can afford to pay cash for online classes and finish school.

I am 23, live with my parents (who are actually awesome) and take online classes in a town of 600 people in the middle of nowhere. I have no more social life, no more good friends (around me at least) and I have a job I hate with a passion. The only job to help me pay for school around here is at a nursing home. I basically clean up floors, beds, windows, ceilings, etc... when someone has a bowel movement over whichever object they choose to. It's killing my back, my self esteem, and my life.

I feel like hell bro, so I got you. I'm doing this all to finish college. It's depressing me very badly, but I know I can't give in.

This just feels good even talking about it. Just hang in there man.
Damn I hope you can find a different job that you don't hate. That sounds like the pits. Going from Hawaii/Illinois to N.D.? That's pretty interesting.

LOL If you are going to make blanket statements at least back them up. Thats a personal issue that you have with me I guess. Oh well.

I said NOTHING incorrect in my comments about this situation.

He needs to get it together. Time will just pass him by and he will live in a life of regrets. And I hope that doesn't happen.

But he DOES have time because he is young.

Sorry to hear about this man. I can't relate, but this is what I would say:

Just find out what you love to do, and make it your long term goal to do that. If you have to work at McDonald's for the next year to make it happen, the do it, work 40 hours a week to get money saved up. Talk to people and figure out what you need to do, and then just put your mind to it. It might help to find someone that can keep you motivated and on track.

There is lots of advice in here that's better than mine, and I hope things get better!

You said nothing incorrect in your comments, because your comments said nothing at all.

Maybe when you grow up, you'll have an idea of what you know and what you don't know.
