why do they continue to call this woman a man? she's female, has XX, just because you change the outside, doesn't change the inside. she can pretend to be a man all she wants, but this isn't a news story.

This does sort of scream out they wanted media attention, but I don't personally find it gross or wrong. It's just a woman having a baby.

A man cannot be born with XX chromosomes. What defines a male is that he has a Y chromosome. Some genetic mutations could make a man have XXY chromosomes and give his some secondary female sexual characteristics, but he's not going to be able to have a baby and is probably going to be mentally ******** or even die.

A woman an be born with XXX chromosomes too, if I recall correctly. A man has to have a Y chromosome.

So, a man could be born with two X chromosomes, but he still must have a Y chromosome or he is simply not a male.

I haven't taken any way too advanced courses in this, but have covered it in a genetics class. This is what I was talking about. Maybe what your talking about is way beyond this, but this is what my understanding was.

Actually, you are right.

I figured you were talking about Klinefelter's Syndrome which involves XXY Chromosomes, but I did not know about the XX Male Syndrome. Apparently, it is possibly to have a male without a Y chromosome then. I did not know that.
