    Tuesday Morning Other Stuff (7-22-08)

Like the links? Kick off some conversations about them!
Me and Nat made some fish last night. It was the first time I have ever cooked it, we usually just bake the frozen stuff in the oven. This time we got some fresh fish at the store and sprinkled some seasoning on it and ate it all up. It might have been the best fish I have ever tasted. Jeez, what have I been missing! So yea, I don't mind cooking, seems over the years I'm getting better at it too. As long as it doesn't take up too much time, I don't mind whipping it together and Nat is usually a great helper. Got some recipes? Share them w/ me. LOL. WTF is wrong w/ me. But seriously, share them, heh.

Looking forward to my court date tomorrow.

    What's up with you?
    • QOTD: Do you enjoy cooking? If so, give me your 5 star can't miss recipe.

Happy Birthday to the following OS'ers!

Not too often you hear that.

Getting back to all the work I missed over the past 2 weeks. I even came in early because my body is still fighting to get away from Europe time.

QOTD: I can do the basics, but never put together any special meals. I would like to become a better cook (or at least have a go-to receipe).

QOTD: I love cooking. Nothing better then the smell of the food you're cooking, then seeing the final product and the taste of it. I like to make good meals out of simple things, it's very rewarding.

How do you guys cook your fish? Frying pan with oil? Just wondering, I like fish but haven't really cooked it fresh myself (usually just order it when I'm eating out)...

The fish you're cooking should usually predicate cooking method i.e.; high fat content fish such as Salmon and Tuna can hold up to most cooking methods, while lighter fish such as Tilapia have to be cooked hard and fast...To be honest most fish need to be cooked hard and fast unless baking which works great for Walleye, Pike, and Sea Bass

Just remember fish should never be overcooked with one exception...When cooking cioppino's or boulliabase (which are both similar to stews) use a denser fish that will hold up like cod or haddock.

I just spray cooking oil and fry them about 3 to 4 mins. each side. Yum! In fact, it was so good yesterday, I'm thinking of doing it again today.

The end of the mouse? Very doubtful.

Gamers would never abadon the mouse because of it's precision and accuaracy. Most hardcore gamers don't trust wireless inputs to use for gaming on the PC because of the "lost" reaction time.

I highly doubt the mouse goes away.
