For those of you criticizing people for not doing anything, do you have any idea how difficult it would be to disarm a guy with a commando knife in a bus?

The whole idea of swarming the guy is pointless anyway. He only killed one person, and that person most likely was killed before anyone realized anything was happening, thus any intervention would have been pointless and could have caused unnecessary wounds. Since nobody else was hurt, everybody did the correct thing by running away.

Naw it had to be random. When it's something so over the top like this, it's always random, the dude was crazy, probably heard voices and just snapped, from what the witnesses have said, he was mechanical, robot like while doing it. I'd be amazed if they did know each other.

To think that there must've been a kid on that bus.. One man died, but many lives will never be the same. That's messed up, the NEWS is messed up. I'm waiting for the "homeless man saves grandma from wild polar bear"

Sleeping in public or not, what the heck can you do to prevent a wild man from stabbing you, beheading you, and then eating you? If he's sitting by you, absolutely nothing.

As Ive been reading more and more about this I came across something that mentioned that the Father of the victim didnt even know his Son was dead until he was shown the report on his computer, thats terrible. Apparently friends of the victim went and waited outside the Fathers house and then sat with him while he watched the report on his computer. According to other reports, the victim was on his way back from working with the carnival previously and thats why he was on the Greyhound bus in the first place.

I know, he was sleeping so he never saw it coming. There are reports that blood was squirting all over the back of the bus, reports that the killer started eating the guys flesh, was taunting the cops by waving the head out of the window when the cops were there. He tried to escape out of a window and was then caught but this just blows my mind, unbelievable. My hats off to the truck driver for stopping and getting involved, its a shame someone couldnt have gotten to the attacker and used his own knife on him.

Uh I am traveling the country on greyhound next year and I always sleep on the bus....might have some nightmares now!

O ok, gotcha. I actually was gonna say "I agree" and than say my part but wasn't sure if you were being sarcastic or not so I made it as a statement as opposed to a continuation of your thoughts. Have you read the latest on this nutbag? Apparently he muttered under his breath for the judge to kill him after he was asked if he wanted an attorney to represent himself. I think he should be tortured first personally....
