Thats awful.....people do soem terrible things to kids and this is right up there.

The brother, or little boy, may end up being the best thing for her.

All this happened in my backyard (Tampa)
Check out my Tampa Bay Buccaneers CFM Thread.

Living here in Tampa, nothing surprises me anymore. And the DCF is real bad down here. This article was on the front page of yesterday's St. Pete Times newspaper.

I hope that little girl will continue to improve and grow(physically and emotionally).

I agree. Bless those people who adopted her and their son.

Thats the part I didnt get either, why did they need to make that deal in the first place? They surely had enough evidence to take the child away for good anyways, instead she signs over a kid that she obviously didnt care about anyways and avoids jail time, something wrong with that.

It's probable that she seemed fit enough to raise her boys and probably even doing a good job.

It didn't seem like they had any real issues besides the one boy being a bit behind.

Like they said, it's always their goal to have the kids stay with the parent. It's a weird case because the boys were raised fine but the girl wasn't.

So maybe they offered a plea deal so that she could remain with the two boys?

And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace
