Do it asap and get it out of the way. It'll just eat you up, and you might end up changing your mind.

The best part is, that if you don't feel confortable doing it, you don't have to tell him. If you block his number he'll figure it out. If you call him just tell him what you feel.

        Yeah, it's going to suck.

Give the guy back his house warming gift and tell him you thought you could handle being cool with him again, but the more you thought about it the more you realized you can't forgive what he's done.

Don't block his call - you are going to have to deal with it sometime. Like everyone else said, get it over with quick so you can move on.

Just say, "Remember that time when we all got busted and you ran away......well, i need you to do that now and never come back" That should work, its a story, its funny, and it is a bit of payback for him being a douche bag

If you give money to a friend. Make sure you don't mind if he doesn't pay you back. If you mine then don't give him the money.

Bad signs about the guy are him being overcomplimentary and clingy. I would be cautious of him, which you sound like you are. You've forgiven him and are being friendly to him, but there's no reason you should put him in a position where he can ruin important memories for you and other people in your life.

The rule is: "Don't loan out anything that you can't afford to give away".
