Just got done listening to the beginnign of today's show. He mentions the website publicizing this and he is mad they are misinterpritating what is going on. He is interviewing the girl and not "kicking off the auction", and he is doing so to see what is going on in her head, he said himself h has 3 daughters and is not condoning this at all.

Interesting and yeah I heard it too (thanks bro!) Interesting in that it seems Howard has let more of his conservative home life creep into his radio persona. If you read his two books carefully you'll see that he's a pretty straightlaced guy who did the wild and crazy stuff to build a reputation and a name for himself.

Stern actually has a code of ethics even if it's hard to find sometimes.

Yeah good points. I loved his two books and really enjoyed the informal, steam of conciousness tone he kept going throughout. With all the stuff that has happened since 1998 (the date I believe Mrs. America was published) I think he is overdue for a third.

Who really gives a flying? Half of the people on here pissin on the Stern Show don't listen to him because he is "so rank and disgusting with his sex, and filth talk", but will go to the movies and spend money there and on Cd's full of guys sayin the same ish. Ever seen "SuperBad", how bout "40 Year Old Virgin"? Sure you have. Remember when McLovin said to that girl "I got a b0nerrrr". We all laughed at it didnt we? The writers of those movies as well as writers from all over the entertainment industry studied at the shrine of Stern. So please get off your high horse and stop trying to make it out to be a problem about Stern because some dumb bilch wants to get some pub by sellin her coochie on eBay. And sad to say, for everyone who thinks he sucks and he is a sophomoric a-hole, there are about 11 million people who disagree. Before Stern, XM was the only satellite radio around and they made fun or Sirius when it started out. But suddenly A.H. (After Howard), XM wanted to play nice. Stern is a freaking juggernaut and 75% of your favorite dj's who do your "Morning Zoo" type radio shows are and have been stealing from the guy you cant stand.

In the end it works out great for subscribers to both XM and Sirius, with the allacart programing people will be able to grab the big names from the other company, everyone wins in the end. I can't wait to start getting the NFL games on my XM radios, I hope it happens before this season is over. BTW "Morning Zoo" is aweful radio no matter who they steal or don't steal from, the fake radio voices are the most annoying part of it.

Actually, Sirius' subscribers were on a huge uprise and would easily pass XM within a year or two. It was for XM's benefit to merge with Sirius.

Exactly my point. The "drunk midget" you are referring to hasn't been on the show since 2000, since he has.....been dead for nearly a decade. Farting contests haven't really been done since that time as well. The majority of the show is the brilliant dynamic between howard and his crew and the dialogue is intelligent, funny and deep. Again outside looking in. There is the media "uh oh, what has Howard Stern done this time!?!" portrait that people who don't listen ot the show see and hear and they formulate an opinion of the show based off of nothing. Good points. I was introduced to Stern in the early 90’s..staying up at night to watch his shoe on E! I didn’t know much about him, but feel in love with the show. I mean I was 12-13 years old and they had a naked woman on there every night. It was a lot of “potty” jokes and plus the wack pack, who wouldn’t love those guys. As I got older and actually listened, I found it to be more then just “stupid” comedy. Now when I listen to his show on the radio, it’s nothing like I remembered it growing up. Sure they are plenty of crude jokes, but the show is just hilarious and brilliant. Artie Lange is so good on the show and quit witted, then like someone else said, Stern is a great interviewer. Plus it makes my day at work go by quickly… that’s always a plus.

He's an idiot. Most of the people that I have encountered that like Howard Stern are simpleton's that having a hard time developing their own thoughts so they find his abuse of the unfortunate and downtrodden amusing.
