Hi guys. I just wanted you guys to know that I'm really glad to be a part of Operation Sports. And in the five plus years that I've belonged here that I've really enjoyed the dialog I've shared and the overall quality of this site. It's funny, for years I was a lurker and really didn't post a lot. But then a funny thing happened, I met Countryboy and Odogg in the real world. And then this place became very personal to me and I felt compelled to become more involved. Since I've been privileged to become both a Community Leader for Fifa and a Mod. That said, I am really glad to be able to serve the community here. I'm hoping to get to know more guys on the site, maybe not meeting everyone in the real world, but to have more engaging conversations and get to know more about the guys that really make this, IMO, the best site of it's kind on the 'net. Those three individuals are my greatest gift and treasure.

But enough about me. If there are those who'd be willing to put faces to their names and maybe a little something about themselves, I think that'd be really cool. It makes it more real even when I see a pic of Pared and the other guys with Shaq or KG at the NBA2k launches. Thanks, I'm excited about my kids. I thought I'd never get to have any. I was 39 when my first was born. But they are the best things to ever happen to me.... Besides my wife...... I better not forget her. The couch gets really hard. LOL

Nice post! I'm 32, got married last November (no kids yet) and I'm from Israel. I really like OS (except for some posts...lol) and I usually log on to here every day. Whenever I have a few minutes free at work I'm here reading some NBA 2K and OS-Neighbourhood posts. Best place on virtual earth!

For those who don't know my story (or updates) right now, I'm a college dropout (going back for a business degree quite possibly in the near future.) Joined the Marine Corps, in the infantry. Recently (this past week) I got selected for duty at 8th & I. It's pretty prestigious and I'll get to do all the parades and ceremonies for the bigwigs in DC. Best thing to come out of it is I'm currently in the process of getting a security clearance that will help get a job with the CIA/FBI if I so choose when I get out. My contract ends when I'm 26 so I have plenty of time to contemplate my future. Other than that, like pretty much all here I love sports games, and also RPGs/MMOs.

Any other questions feel free to ask.

I will give some insight on the man who is funky_chicken. I am 33 and work as an insurance agent for a telemarketing firm. It is not my life's calling but pays the bills for now. I graduated in May with my bachelor's degree in computer and information security. I am currently looking for a job that is financially rewarding and challenging. I am not married and have no kids (unless you count the 4 legged variety). I live in Northwest Indiana, Merrillville to be exact. My dad lives with me. He raised on his own from the time I was 3 days old until he remarried a couple months before my 5th birthday. Me and my dad are very close. He is not only my dad but my best friend and hero.

I am a big pro wrestling fan. I buy too many wrestling DVDs and enjoy attending live shows. I'm a big baseball fan as well. I bleed Cubbie blue. Also love my Bears and Blackhawks (can you tell I have lived close to Chicago for many years?).

I'm happy to be a part of OS. Lots of good people on the boards. Also, since I play mostly sports vidoegames this is the site to come for sports game info.

Wow that is great bro. My step sister just had twins at age 48! I was 32 with my first one and 36 with this one.

Since Brian Started it off I guess I'll throw my info in the ring.

My name's Doug. I'm a 26 year old single guy who currently lives in Dayton, Ohio. I grew up in Northwest Ohio in the small town of Spencerville. I moved to Dayton just about two years ago to take a job as a news photographer. Prior to that job I had a job as a news photographer in Lima, Ohio.

I'm a big sports fan all around, some of my favorite teams are the Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Cavaliers and Washington Capitals. Should throw some love to the Blue Jackets also.

I love my job. I have been fortunate to meet some really interesting people through my work and my travels across the country. I was fortunate enough to work the BCS National Championship game and the 50th Daytona 500 this year. I've also made a trip out to Iowa in June to help cover some of the relief efforts from the floods near Cedar Rapids and Iowa City, IA.

I am absolutely in love with Operation Sports. It's a great little site that helps me get through the day sometimes. Most of the people here are so great and really do help this community out. It's nice to know if I have a question about something sports related, or sometimes not, that I can come here and not be ridiculed for my lack of knowledge.

I'm also a big music fan. Love everything from playing guitar and bass to just chillin' and listening to the latest CD or album I've bought. It's another method of relaxation I have. I have a broad scope of music, and can be found to be listening to almost anything.

I met my wife when we were in the 10th grade. That was in 1977. We will celebrate our 27th year of marriage on Oct 5th. I served with the US Army Rangers from 1981-1994. I went active again in 2002 and was wounded out in 03. I am now actively involved with the Wounded Warriors Project.

My wife gave me a son in 1995.


The three people I love the most in this world.

My name is Gannon. (actually thats my last name, but thats what I am called amongst other names I can't post here while with friends) I am 29 years old, soon to be 30 I live in Clarksville Indiana, but grew up in Jeffersonville Indiana, which are both small cities about 5-10 minutes north of Louisville. I am a graduate of UofL and work as an account rep/salesman for a family owned electronics supplies company. The coolest part of my job is that not only do I get to work in a workplace of about 18 people who are all UofL fans, I get to work with my best and most dearest friend, my Dad.

During high school and my first summer after high school, I rode bulls in local rodeos as I thought that was going to be how I made my money. But after suffering a broken collarbone and being told that had the bull's foot landed an inch or so the other direction, I may not have been here(crushed throat). So after that incident, I decided to "retire" and go to school.

I am not married and was engaged until a few months back when my fiance at the time and I decided to go our separate ways. I have also been married and divorced, so my record in committed relationships is not too good. I do have a dog who is my partner in crime and is as much of a UK ***** at I am. I can say Kentucky around him and he'll bark. Damn good dog. The other cool part about Shiloh is that he attends some of the UofL tailgate parties with us. He loves gamedays/nights almost as much as I do. I love it for the beer and football, he loves it for the beer and hot dogs.

That's really cool guys. Hey Gannon, is that halfway up Lakeshore Dr. headed toward the Shedd and the Field Museum? We went to both of them and Soldiers Field on our trip up there. As well as Navy Pier.....

that was where the Giant Bean is located and where the fountain thats in the intro of the old sitcom "Married With Children" is as well. I am not sure the name of the road.
