Currently 27 degrees in south-central Pennsylvania, calling for light snow showers tonight with little to no accumulation. HOWEVER, only a little ways west of here in the Laurel Highlands there's already 8-9 inches of snow on the ground and they're calling for up to 20 inches in some spots by the end of the night. The high will be a comfortable 34 degrees tomorrow. I can't WAIT for some snow, I'd like about two feet of it and then it can get back to summer the next week.

Seriously, high of 19 today. When I got to school today, the car said -3.

Wind chill of -10.

I can't remember a day this miserable since one day in july when it was 102 with 80 percent humidity.

Woke up and it was 9 degrees, by about 11am it was -4 with windchill. Just got home from christmas shopping and it was 16. Nothing stops the arctic air from coming down Lake Michigan.

Cold....bloody cold with snow on the ground. At least the snow they called for today didn't come but I bet it ends up arriving overnight.

Been having crazy snow showers over here in Glasgow but I hear we are having a warm up tomorrow with a high of 43! But then more snow showers Thursday

After a balmy high of 32 today, the temperature is 18 now. 32 is very unusual for this time of year here, especially considering we had full sunshine all day.

We still have snow left on the ground in the shaded areas, so that's probably making temperatures a little colder than they might otherwise be (melting and evaporation are endothermic processes and thus take heat out of the air, resulting in cooler temperatures).

I am telling you, it's a lie. I just let my dog outside and it is unbearably cold. I'm surprised her pee didn't freeze. I moved down here a year ago and it was like this. We had a two to three week stretch where I had to unpack all of my winter clothes I had when I lived in Indy(they were still packed away, thinking I'd never have to use them) and wear them. Same thing this year. Overall, from the one winter and now that I've lived here, Florida winters are warm in the day and ****ing freezing at night. Sometimes it'll be about what you'd expect(warm throughout), but we get cold fronts and when we do it's far colder than I ever imagined.

Right now it's supposedly 40 degrees, but I call BS. The other day it was 50 and I was thinking there's absolutely no way. I don't know if it's just that I'm used to the steaming hot weather, or what, but 50 degrees in Indy in the winter is like a let's go swimming day. lol

Lol, I know exactly what you mean. Last Friday I was outside doing yard work and it was about 50° and I was out there in shorts and a t-shirt and I was still hot. Like you said, I think it's just because you get used to a certain temperature. Kind of like during the summer when it's 100°, if you have a night where it gets into the 40°s it tends to feel really cold.

I can't tell you how many times I've gone to California to visit family during fall/winter and been wearing shorts while everyone else is freezing. Like when I went out to my cousin's wedding back in June. It was in Santa Cruz and we had to get there about 7am to help set some things up. All of her friends who were there to help were freezing, but I was wearing shorts and short sleeves and had no problems at all. Everyone was all, "aren't you cold?" I just laughed every time someone asked me that.
