Same thing this year. Overall, from the one winter and now that I've lived here, Florida winters are warm in the day and ****ing freezing at night. Sometimes it'll be about what you'd expect(warm throughout), but we get cold fronts and when we do it's far colder than I ever imagined.

Right now it's supposedly 40 degrees, but I call BS. The other day it was 50 and I was thinking there's absolutely no way. I don't know if it's just that I'm used to the steaming hot weather, or what, but 50 degrees in Indy in the winter is like a let's go swimming day. lol
Winter's in Florida don't look at the temperature because it isn't the same cold. Even when you factor the wind chill in, it just isn't the same like it is in the north. 30 in Florida feels a lot colder than 40 up north. Florida has a lot of moisture in the air so when the wind hits you with that moisture, it is freezing. It obviously doesn't get as cold, but the temps don't feel the same.

Ok, I dont even want to hear it. Syracuse has been in the 20s, Winds of 10-15MPH, 40+ Inches of snow in like 3 days, and its not going to stop.

Another 6-12 tonight, couples days off then a Noreaster on Sunday.

EAT IT! It does suck though, waking up at 5AM with a foot of snow on your car with the roads completely untouched from plowes.

        Just for a reference:

Blizzard of 1966: 42.9'' of snow

        Blizzard of 1993: 42''

Blizzard of 2010(Yes, I am declaring this a blizzard): Officially it is 37'' but I have 45'' in a western suburb of Syracuse.

Kind of like during the summer when it's 100°, if you have a night where it gets into the 40°s it tends to feel really cold.

I can't tell you how many times I've gone to California to visit family during fall/winter and been wearing shorts while everyone else is freezing. Like when I went out to my cousin's wedding back in June. It was in Santa Cruz and we had to get there about 7am to help set some things up. All of her friends who were there to help were freezing, but I was wearing shorts and short sleeves and had no problems at all. Everyone was all, "aren't you cold?" I just laughed every time someone asked me that.
Yeah, it just doesn't feel the same. It's the same in the summer as well. 80 feels a lot hotter than it does in say Indy where I used to live.

That could be it too. Whatever it is, it's not the same. Or it's that I'm just used to the steaming hot weather of the summer, but it's not like I've lived here my entire life(only 1 and a half years). I know what 50 degrees feels like and it's definitely not the same between Indiana and Florida.

Well, Florida got snow last year. Parts of Central FL got a dusting and Miami-Dade County actually reported flurries, so you never know!

Tampa, FL got a coating of snow in 1977, the only other year (besides last year) that Miami-Dade has seen snow.

Looks like my area (Mid-Missouri) is set to receive its first snowfall of the year this weekend. Unfortunately, it's the "rain changing over to snow" variety - the part that sucks for travel. Yech.

It's freaking warm right now, 32 degrees, it's actually sleeting right now. But then a cold front is supposed to move through and drop the temps to -20 for lows and highs around 1, 0, -1 along with snow.
