Below 35 with about 3 inches or so of snow on the ground.

Last weekend was like 70s, this weekend 20s, ah got to love that consistent Chicago climate.

Here's a cool visible satellite image of the snow:

Looks like a serious late-season freeze threat for the Carolinas down south into Georgia, Tennessee, and northern portions of Alabama and Mississippi Monday-Wednesday. In fact, most of the models have the 540 all the way down into central or southern Florida, although I'm doubting the validity of that. I just don't see portions of Florida getting a freeze in April, but anything can happen...

Also, there appears to be a snow threat for the Carolinas and northern Georgia (including Atlanta and Macon) on the rear-end of the next storm system when the cold air comes pouring in. The models have been suggesting this for several days and although I tend to doubt that it will actually happen, it's something to look out for. Some of the models actually suggest accumulating snowfall. We'll have to see how it all works out.

Haha, on Wednesday, we had a really strange hail/snow storm that came along with some thunder and lightning. When it was snowing and you see lightning, it's confusing to say the least. Freakin' Colorado... And naturally, it's beautiful today and about 55 degrees.

THUNDERSNOW!!! The meca of snowfall! You have to have some real instability in the air to have that stuff and it usually involves some heavy snow.

Heh, it was just strange.. I can remember that happening a few times through my lifetime, but this snow was especially strange because it was going back and forth between hail, little pellets (that weren't hard like hail, they were just like little snowballs), and regular snow while it was lightning/thundering. Colorado is weird... my favorite is the clear sky + bright sun snow though, since you can watch individual flakes fall from very high up.

Denver is supposed to get 4-8 inches tonight, mountains atleast a foot, and foothills I think was 10inches? Spring blizzard basically, if you cut CO in half, everything north has an advisory.

Supposed to be craptastic from tonight through tomorrow but we need it, fill the damn lake up.

This looks like it's going to be a killer freeze all the way down south in Florida! Yes, it's starting to look like places like Tallahassee could get below freezing on Tuesday and Wednesday morning. Myrtle Beach and Savannah should also hit the freezing mark. Places inland could easily dip into the 20s, even in southern Georgia and Alabama and maybe some places in the panhandle of Florida. I wouldn't be surprised if my area dips into the lower 20s and maybe into central South Carolina and Georgia.

I'd say some records will be falling Monday-Wednesday.

Today was our first "Colorado in Minnesota" weather day. It started snowing the heavy, wet snow last night into this morning, dropping about two inches, with temps in the mid-20s. By the afternoon it was 40's, the snow had melted, and people were out in t-shirts.

Those of you who have lived or grown up in Colorado will know what I'm talking about...the two/three seasons in a single 24 hour period.

Montana can have those kind of days as well. Go to work with a winter coat on and carry it home at the end of the day (or the opposite). Pretty crazy...

It's great! When I was in high school it would be breezy, overcast, 60s...by the time eighth period ended it was a blizzard.

My wife got home today (had to pull some extra hours) and was like "hey, this was like home", LOL.
