No, High Point, so an hour-and-a-half up I-85.

I've got 5-6" of snow on the ground with sleet for the last hour or two. If we don't flip back to snow tonight, we should flip back over tomorrow for a few inches. It looks like we can make 8" for the storm total, which will make this the biggest event since January 2002 at the airport. I'm still hoping we flip back over to snow overnight, but I'm not sure I see that happening at this point.

Stuck with freezing temperatures and no snow, so its a lose lose because I still have to go to school.

But we are supposed to get snow here on Friday so we'll see.

Today was ridiculous. Never experienced anything like it. Got the message from my manager to leave at 12:30 since it had already started flurrying. I had to finish up a call with a client, so I left around 12:45. I live about 10 minutes from the office. What killed us is that the snow fell so quickly, and everybody left work about the same time. I took the backroads home, and still made relatively good progress. But about 2 miles from my house gridlock caught up with me, and I was at a virtual crawl. I eventually got stuck on this road by my house because it was blocked by cars that had spun out. I was waiting on the side of the road, when one of the wreckers that had come to try and move cars, started sliding downhill while the driver was out helping a motorist. It came right towards me, and put me in a ditch. At that point, I had been in the car for almost three hours. All I wanted to do was get home, so I started walking. Fortunately this nice dude and his two daughters picked me up and drove me home. Never been so glad to get home in my life.

LOL sorry, my dude, you'll have to be disappointed on this one. One of the daughters (I'm just assuming they were his daughters) that was in the backseat with me was kinda pleasing to the eye. But that's all I can give you. I did leave out that detail when I told my wife what happened when she got home.

I'm still not entirely sure what we're getting here in central Connecticut tomorrow. I've heard anywhere from 3 to 14 inches of snow. Then freezing rain. Should be a fun one. Yeesh

2 nights(mornings) ago, it was 13 degrees and I couldn't feel my hands. Tomorrow it hits the high 60s/low 70s for about the next week.

I just yelled at the weather girl on one of my local stations. We're supposed to get more snow today and she said it shouldn't be as bad because the temp will be closer to freezing than yesterday... Ummm what about the fact that everything is covered with at least 4 inches of snow already and that the new snow will instantly lay on top of yesterday's snow, it's not like it's trying to lay on bare pavement. Dumba**!

Another 10-14 inches of snow. Please God make it stop. I'm so sick of this. We have literally had a snowstorm a week in this area for the past 3-4 weeks.

Raining right now here but it's supposed to turn back over to all snow around 12 or 1pm.

As of 6am, we already had a foot of snow on ground and everything in the DC Area is shut down.
