      Back to this polar vortex here in Maryland. It's 14 degrees and will drop down to 8 degrees before sun comes up.

        Never mind about the no school part. Apparetly the district wants to subject kids to -14 degree temperatures. Smh.

            This is called the National Weather Service Thresholds for our area and what our school board follows for closing schools in this district.

            It's all about the little one's standing on the corner waiting for the bus.

            Wind chills 20 below to 34 below with winds at least 4 mph for 3 hr or more

                  Same deal here in northern DE.

                  Big storm coming Sunday/Monday. Snow totals climbing. Anywhere from 3 inches to a foot, some ice too.

                            I live just south of Minneapolis, and it's getting pretty tough to fight the cabin fever at this point. Never seen a winter like this, the combination of well below average temperatures, above average snow fall, and relentless winds have made this winter pretty miserable.

                            March is projected to be below average as well...

THE HIGHEST ICE ACCUMULATIONS WILL OCCUR OVER SOUTH CENTRAL MISSOURI... WITH A MIX OF SLEET... SNOW... AND FREEZING RAIN ACROSS THE I-44 AND MUCH OF THE U.S. 60 CORRIDORS. PRIMARILY SNOW... THOUGH BEGINNING AS SOME FREEZING RAIN AND SLEET... IS EXPECTED ACROSS CENTRAL MISSOURI... ALONG AND NORTH OF U.S. 54.

                                And so is April and May in SE Wisconsin, which is in the same region as where you are.

                                90 more days of bliss if this holds true.
