No problem! Well, I made it back in one piece. Now I can just clog my arteries with a QP w/cheese! The roads here aren't bad ,yet. But they said that we're gonna get slammed this afternoon. And the snowflakes are starting to turn fatter and more frequent. Think I'm in the house for the day....

We have about 4 inches in SE Wisconsin from last night and this morning. It looks brighter out and the snow has tapered off.

This afternoon the winds are suppose to increase and we are suppose to have whiteout conditions.

Our school district closed schools already at 5:30 a.m with only a few inches of snow.

Hey, a few kids home from school. One of the reasons to have kids is to put them to work. The oldest (14) will show old dad how good he is with the snowblower and the youngest(11) and dad can work the shovels.

At least it's the powdery snow vs the wet gulf snow.

Same here, I was just out getting milk at a little market on Pitt's campus (they had plenty) after they were completely out at Giant Eagle last night and saw a few flakes. Supposed to get 6-10 though it may be less depending on how far north a line of warm air in the system moves.

On the lighter side, someone is apparently not to happy with the people who run this apartment building as the words "I H8 Moxart (the name of the realtor)" were written in the snow outside the entryway.

It's a nightmare outside. It's snowing and it's only going to get worse with Blizzard like conditions moving into the area.

Getting hit pretty good here, I would bet after it is all said in done we end up with another foot of snow. I need to go out after dinner and run the snow blower, so it is not as bad when I do it again tommorow.

The wife who is a teacher got school canceled at 6:00 a.m. before even any snow had fallen.I think just about every school around here was canceled this morning.

Just now checked the closings and realized that I don`t have class tonight

I just laugh and laugh and laugh when areas not known for snow close down for a week after a blizzard. Can't blame them, though, as they simply don't have the plow equipment needed to deal with that amount of snow. Couple that with drivers that aren't seasoned in the art of winter driving and it must basically be the apocalypse.

ImTellinTim - I know, i lived in Nashville and it snowed there once and the whole city shutdown. Having moved from Wisconsin it was hilarious that they freaked out over 2 or 3 inches of snow. Ditto for when I lived in Austin, TX.
