It snowed another foot over night, so total we have about 18 inches of snow. The wind was blowing so hard this morning it created a white out.

And lastly, how can you not love the change of mundane life that a good snow storm can bring about? Like today our business allowed us to go home @ 3:30pm due to the storm...it's nice being able to come home early, put on some movies and watch the snow fall, a real change of pace from M-F 9-5 crap where every day seems the same.
You obviously live in a place where it doesnt snow a lot. Because where I live and where I grew up at, in Chicago, no school or business EVER closed early because of snow. It could be 4 feet of snow outside and you still would be going home at the same time.

Same thing with the cold, no business ever closed or let out early because of cold. Hell even the schools wouldnt close unless it was a -24 windchill and the actual temperature was a -6 .

Well, temperatures were in the upper 20s this afternoon here, which is over 20 degrees below average. My temperature is already down to 18 and dropping fast.

Some places in Georgia where snow fell last night didn't get out of the teens this afternoon.

Some places in Central Florida have fallen into the 30s. And moisture is mocing in. It will be very interesting tonight.

                Freezing.

-13F. The bottom level of my house is a fridge... The damn heater is upstairs and had never heated the ground (main) floor of our house properly. Winters are spent mostly upstairs by me.

                  LOL, good one.

The streak of 9 straight days of measurable snow will finally come to an end today or tomorrow. We're supposed to get a heat wave by the middle of next week though, Wednesday's high is 34

Weather is very unpredictable. All indications could point to one solution and instead it ends up different. There's nothing meteorologists can do about that.

Crazy weather in central Florida. Gainesville sits at 32 degrees right now. Orlando is at 34 right now and reported sleet and some freezing rain earlier with temperatures at 32 degrees. Some people around Orlando built "sleet men".

The Villages (the place that advertises on TV all the time) had a slight dusting of snow, it appeared, based on their web came.

Tampa is at 36, but I haven't heard of any sleet/snow there.

Punta Gorda is at 37 and just reported some sleet.

The precip is moving south and places in South Florida may have a shot at snow/sleet this evening.

Currently, West Palm Beach is 41 degrees with light rain and Miami is at 44 degrees with light rain. Simply amazing.

Okeechobee County Airport (near Lake Okeechobee) is sitting at 39 degrees right now. It will be interesting to see if they report some wintry precip tonight. They may even get some lake effect rain/snow/sleet.

                    Some pretty amazing pictures here:

Here's something you will probably not see again for a long while. All of Britain has snowcover.

I'm in Dallas and my pool was frozen. It's an above ground so even though the water is circulating it managed to freeze. Huge chunks of ice in it now.

Ha ha, I've been busting my brother's chops about it all day. He's always sending me picture texts of blue skies and palm trees in the middle of winter - ugh.
