Yes, it is, but that's because we're being warm-sectored out ahead of the cold front which will blast through tonight and drop our temperatures.

You won't be approaching a foot of snow in Charlotte, though. You're going to have a lot of issues mixing with sleet and freezing rain, most likely, which will limit your snowfall accumulations.

Smh.. nw ga... We never get anything, every county around mine could have 6 inches of snow and some how we would come away with a few flurries... I just want a night off work

Reports of heavy snow/sleet are coming in from Dalton, GA currently, so we shall see. The cold air damning also seems to be overperforming, so this could be a killer ice storm for North GA, Central SC, and SE NC to go along with the heavy snow for NC/S. VA.

yeah Dalton is right up the road.. but again, there is nothing here.. I'm calling it now, every county bordering me will get something , but we will not

but I still hold out hope

About 2 PM I got a shower of freezing rain/ice for 5 mins or so.

oh man.. my county.. not a single thing here, a little sleet earlier

but up the road only 8 miles.. an inch of snow, my county it seems is just below the ice/snow line..FML
