I get it. That's not what I was getting at. I just think it's hilarious.

People here don't really know how to drive in the snow/ice either, except it's because they have the "oh we're used to it" mentality. Actually, North Dakotans are terrible drivers in general.
Up in the 30s right now, but like youvalls I want it to go back to below freezing. Driving = not fun, especially since the melted crap will just freeze tonight making the roads one big sheet of ice.

Yep. Pretty much. Snow is actually kind of fun to drive on, IMO, as long as you stay slow and steady. Four-wheel drive helps, as well. But you just can't drive on ice, really, and unfortunately we get a lot of ice-covered roads here in the Southeast.

He didn't have a snow shovel or even just a shovel? Hell, a sweeper probably would have done better than that.

The 12z model runs brought this next big daddy storm farther south and got my area back in the snow area, which isn't good for you TN guys, as we much.

There's also a weaker storm system moving through on Monday which could dump some light snow across areas of the south.

By the way, it's 34 degrees with rain right now. Ugh. Every time this winter except for once (which was on Tuesday morning), it has been in the 30s when it has rained, just a few degrees above freezing. If you want to spend winter in the Piedmont or foothills of North Carolina, get ready for cold rain often! And if it's below freezing that cold rain will turn to sleet or freezing rain! Thank CAD for it.

East Tennessee is getting the shaft lately. Western side of the state gets a lot of snow and all we get is freezing rain. Not fair.

Re: So what's the weather like where you live?

34 degrees out, here's what the local news had to say earlier:
"After a couple of days of spring-like weather we'll get back to freezing temperatures next week."

I mean, yeah it feels warm and everything but I don't care where you live. A high of 34 degrees is not spring-like, unless you're talking about the North or South pole maybe. Let's not get carried away here.
Although I see people wearing clothes as if it's spring, t-shirts, shorts, windows rolled down in the car. It really is a nice day out.

Texas is complaining it's to cold and Winnipeg is complaiining it's too hot.

Meanwhile Pittsburgh seems to be sitting in the eye of all the snowstorms as it seems everyone around us is getting buttloads of the white stuff while we get 1-2 inches if that.

1-3 more inches tonight to layer on top of the snow/ice mix we got during Snowmageddon (we haven't been above freezing since), and most county roads were still awful before this. And with how heavy it's falling right now, you may want to add an "and then some" onto that forecast.

**** Winter, seriously. (hint: that's not supposed to be the E word )

Newsflash! Indiana is supposed to get 3-4 inches of snow on Sunday night.

At this rate, summer vacation will be a week.

Could be a big daddy southern (or east coast) snowstorm late this coming week.

No model is quite like last nights 0z GFS but the trends are all very consistent with a big storm.

Not to mention besides the snow is the cold that hits after. NWS already has us showing a low of 8 degrees on Thursday night. Highs on Thursday and Friday at 24.

You know what is interesting? We had around a foot and a half of snow (roughly 15/16 inches), followed by an ice storm a few days later. That ice storm formed a crust on the snow, so now (after a few inches melted away) we have around 9/10 inches still on the ground, but it is solid as a rock. My dog can walk on top of it without falling in, there is a glisten on the snow (similar to a glisten on ice). It is wild

The 0z Euro gave RDU over a foot of snow!

The cold sure does look to be impressive afterwards, but we'll see whether that will actually verify or not. The models have been notorious for overestimating the cold blasts this season, it seems.

Well, not Winnipeg, only me. People here think I'm insane that I don't like hot weather. But I really suffer during the summer, really don't like it, doesn't matter where I live, I always prefer cold weather - be it FREEZING weather or just cold. At least I know that every year here I'm going to get some cold and snowy weather.

Welcome to the South, LOL! We get that all the time down here after our snowstorms since the dendric growth zone will become unsaturated towards the end of the storm and we'll end up with several hours (although I've seen it last a full day) of freezing drizzle at the end which forms a layer of ice atop our snow.
