Yep... high of 50 here today... tonight low of 19 and we've got a winter storm warning in effect for tonight and tomorrow. The weather has just been all over the place this winter.

It's not too often we have wind chills in the mid-teens with the sun out during the middle of the afternoon here, but such was the case today. The temperature got into the mid-30s, but the winds were absolutely howling.

I'm hoping for some flakes tomorrow evening/overnight with the Clipper system that is going to slam into the Appalachians, but I doubt much will make it over the mountains.

We probably won't have another chance at snow until mid-February, when the pattern will hopefully reload and give us some fun during the late winter into early March. We've had a lot of big storms during this period over the years, so maybe we can get lucky. The 3.5" snowstorm I got back a couple weeks ago just didn't do it for me with the lost power and the fact that it melted off within a couple days for the most part.

I took this on my way home about 20 minutes ago:

The roads are icy as all hell, but it's the low visibility and strong winds that will get you.

On the bright side, it is 28 degrees so at least the temp isn't too bad.

It looks like winter shall return for the Eastern US around Valentine's Day.

In fact, the pattern setting up in mid to late February looks prime for a big snowstorm across the Eastern Seaboard down into the Southeast. Looks like we should get some shots with gulf lows.

I know you and I are probably the only one's hoping that happens. Just hope it happens on a Friday. We need to see about arranging that.

32 degrees right now (which is considered mild here this time of year). Suppose to get up to about 40 today.

                                Ha.

Boston is going to get demolished this Friday, most likely. Looks like maybe 30"+ if everything comes together and probably at least a foot, in any case...
