I've never heard of that. I recall that they reinvented the Big Mac recently to match that of its competitors, who previously had kind of copied McDonald's to begin with. Is that what that one was, and is the Big Mac still the same ol' thing as it always was?

A few months back they tested 3 different sized Big Macs. I don't like Big Macs, but for some reason that Grand Mac was incredible.

Eight years ago they did two Big Macs for $3.50, but I would say relatively speaking that this deal matches that when adjusting for inflation. I'm sure I'll try it this week and see how they taste because I haven't had them in... well... eight years.

Word of advice. If you haven't had McDonalds in 8 years and you plan on diving back in with multiple Big Macs..... i'd just make sure you don't have anything important going on the next day.

forget Big Mac vs the Whopper. I wanna know who's the winner in Big Mac vs the Quarter Pounder.

Remember that Big Mac is coming off a suspension for testing positive for special sauce. In my opinion, although the Big Mac has the better reach and better chin, i think the Quarter Pounder's incessant jab and quick feet easily hold Mac at bay. Mac will undoubtedly try to use his height and distance to wear down QP, and will be looking to counter. And let's face it - if he connects, it could be over early. The thing is - he can't connect. QP has the quick feet, better legs and and, as we know he is crafty. Mac's glory days are behind him. QP in 11.

Whopper-Big Mac bout can't be made due to contractual/promotional issues. But for what it's worth, I like Whopper's chances there. Can't overestimate the flame-broiled advantage.

My problem with the Whopper is it has never seemed very "Whopping." I mean who named this burger? Was the first Burger King franchise built in The Shire? At least the Big Mac is "big." You go into any mom and pop burger joint, like 'Uncle Ned's Burgers and Salmonella', and order something called "The Whopper" - that thing will need to be rolled out in a wheelbarrow. You'll probably get it for free if you finish it, along with a polaroid of you trying to hold that last bite down pinned to the wall for eternity.

I wish I was told this by noon earlier today.

So on a whim, I decided to do the two Big Macs and large fries. First of all, I rediscovered I am not a fan of the Big Mac. If I go again, it'll be double cheeseburgers.

Secondly, I still am not even close to hungry. I'm going to try and go on the exercise bike in a moment (just as scheduled, not to compensate for my earlier meal) and we'll see if I can last on there.

                    Good deal, poor meal.

the best time to go to mcd's is when you are absolutely just starving to death hungry. about the best thing that can be said for them is they can at least make a halfway decent fountain drink. their burgers are tolerable at best, but their fries, I'd rather eat shoe leather. with that said, I will eat 'em but I do have to be starving to death.

I really only like McDonalds for the Big Mac and the fries. Almost always when the wife and I want a fast food burger we get Wendy's.

The new Quarter Pounder is pretty good...and yeah, McD's fries kill Wendy's for us (personal opinions, I know).

Wendy's burgers are killer though, it's just a bit more expensive usually vs. a trip to McDonalds, and our kids like McD's nuggets and Happy Meals more.

I haven't been to McDonalds in over a year. I don't eat much fast food anymore, I visit my dad once a week after work and usually pick up Chic Filet or Raising Canes.
Whataburger is my absolute favorite fast food place but we don't have one locally so I get to eat there once or twice a year.

I used to eat there a lot and loved the quarter pounder with cheese when I was younger but I hate the smell of it now. I swear you can smell it coming through your pores and you can smell it for like a week in your vehicle after going through the drive thru.

I really tried to slow down on the fast food. But I can't stay away from Popeyes very long. I sometimes drive out of my way to get some. Like 40 minutes. That's probably sad. But lol...
