Eating BBQ pulled pork leftovers now, but have to get a McRib sometime! They're way better than you would expect.

The McDonalds app hasn't been as great for me lately....they seemingly have caught on that I'd get large sandwiches for 1 buck or just in general abuse their generous offers. They've now scaled back and they're ok deals but not enough to make me go there.

Pressed/formed into a rack-of-ribs-type shape! Gotta love the totally artificial "grill marks" and everything they bother to imprint on the "meat". But darned if I don't get one every year....

Way to abuse the system and ruin it for the rest of us...

      I didn't even know McDonald's had an app. Why wasn't I notified?

It wasn't me, it was McDonald's trying to make amazing deals to get people to use the app....There's decent stuff now, but always used to be cheaper sandwiches (bogo or something) and even save a few bucks off a 10 or 15 dollar order.

I was telling everyone i could about their app for a year or so but now it's a bit more stingy and I'm being cheaper and trying to avoid eating out at lunch too.

I still recommend it though, you can usually find something you can use.

I was gonna say, while you might miss Whataburger, Culver's is a decent regional fast-food joint. Fried cheese curds are so ridiculously Midwestern it borders on caricature, but then, they taste pretty awesome so....

I must try this Whataburger you all speak of, with said spicy ketchup. High alert for my next trip in the south: Bojangles and Whataburger. I will make sure I re-up my gym membership prior to the trip...
As a transplant who has been living in Texas for quite a while...Whataburger honestly isn't that great at all. Like someone said, it's WAY too salty.

Plus its only really good when you get all the fixings. If you decide to get it with any combination of cheese, bacon, or jalapenos or what to get a double, it'll easily run you around 8 bucks.

If I had to rank all fast food burgers, I would put it:

          1. Wendy's
          2. In and Out
          3. McDonald's
          4. Hardees/Carl's Jr. (I remember them being MUCH better when I was younger)
          5. Whataburger
          6. Jack In The Box
          7. Burger King

And Five Guys would top them all but I'm not sure if they count. The top 3 is the only 3 I would eat normally. Every thing else, I would only get if it's close by and I'm REALLY hungry.

Those are legit rankings and I agree with Burger King at the bottom. It does not digest well for me, lol.

But, I think the real question about this thread is: has McDonalds served over 99 billion since this thread was started?

Am I crazy for thinking that McDonald's has some of the best ice cream out?

Give me a McFlurry, sundae, or cone over ANYTHING from Coldstone.

I'm still a DQ man though

I don't know if it's just me or the DQ I go to when I want my Blizzard fix, but DQ Blizzards aren't at all what they used to be. Like you said, McDonald's easily has some of the best fast food ice cream out there.

about the only thing I really like from DQ is the Orange Julius, though I can tolerate the chicken strips as long as I get honey mustard too. their fries are a non-starter for me though

Went to Carl’s Jr. today and got a Really Big Carl. They put bacon in it now. I loved it.

Went to Jack in the Box last night for an Oreo cookie shake. Good, but I couldn’t finish it with all the dinner I ate right before. Didn’t stay cold enough by the end to justify the means of finishing. I agree that McDonald’s has that better ice cream appeal to theirs, both in temperature and texture.

Really? I think they have the best fries.

The snicker-doodle blizzard is an instant classic. Gives me that cinnamon toast crunch fix.
