How come Taco Bell got rid of all potato related options, and then KFC added fries?
And just like that, McDonald's just lost one, if not millions of customers

I never got Taco Bell dumping money into their "Nacho Fries". They looked like frozen fries with fake Mac and Cheese sauce as dip.
Would rather got to Checkers and get a 1$ fry.Comment

I don't understand why they decided to dump the "finger lickin' good" slogan during the pandemic. Are they afraid somebody is going to wander into a KFC and start licking patrons' fingers?Comment

If KFCs near you are like the ones here they were probably afraid of getting sued for false advertising.PSN:BrrbisBrrComment

Re: And just like that, McDonald's just lost one, if not millions of customers
I understand the preference for Popeye's (and respect that), but I think KFC gets a bit short-changed a lot. I pretty much like all fried chicken, and while Popeye's may have the edge, the KFC extra-crispy is pretty darn good. I also like KFC's sides - with the exception of the red beans-and-rice you can get at Popeye's, I pretty much like the KFC sides better most of the time.
The other thing KFC has going for it vs Popeyes - and this is a big-time "your mileage may vary" situation - is that my personal experience over years is that I often get at least 1 really small, gnarled piece of chicken in any Popeyes 3 or 4-piece meal which barely counts as a "piece" and always seems like a bit of rip-off to me (so I feel like its really a 2 or 3-piece meal, effectively). Whereas my experience with KFC is that this happens far less often.Comment

I just recently discovered that there is a KFC within walking distance of my apartment and was wondering if they sill had popcorn chicken. Haven't been there in years.Steelers : IX, X, XIII, XIV, XL, XLIII

I've never had KFC. I know they used to use peanut oil (which I'm allergic to), but I don't know if they do anymore.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Maybe it's just my local KFCs, but you aren't missing much. I'd rather get Publix chicken.Comment

On two other notes for this thread, I think Burger King is doing two Whoppers for $5.
And McDonald's is doing some sort of 2 for $3.50 thing, which includes the McDouble. Think back about what this thread was about when it was made... I was griping that the double cheeseburger was no longer $1, being replaced in that price value by the McDouble... and now we're essentially getting a timed deal to have the McDouble at $1.75 a pop? I know that the cost of meat has gone up everywhere, but that's just kind of interesting to note.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Might be hard to believe but McDonald’s in the Philippines has one of the best fast food fried chicken.
It’s funny that every popular fast food joint sells fried chicken here. Wendy’s, BK and when you dine in it’s unlimited gravy.Comment
