Re: OS Hoopers....What are your balling tips?
One thing I do that I notice most players in pick up games do not is crash the boards for offensive rebounds, or box out for defensive rebounds. Most people just care about themselves instead of winning, and I hate that.Comment

Damn, I think I was between 6'0 and 6'2. By my Senior year,
I was cracking 6'4 I do know.
Damn that seems so long ago lol.#RespectTheCultureComment

We just had some courts built in our town.
I am 6'4" with with shoes, but I do not weigh a lot. I go for the Dirk moveset, I will either go for a 3 or start a drive and pull up.

If you are having a shooting slump, go back to the basics. I just went out one day and practiced with an over use of my legs. I was using all wrist to shoot, but once I put my legs and body into the shot I got my air on them and they started going in.Comment

Re: OS Hoopers....What are your balling tips?
only tip i tell everyone is play D but TMagic already got that covered.
i hate dudes who play no d and chuck up shots...
and please for the love of god if you see your pg in the corner dont go over there and try to set a screen, all your doing is setting him up to be trapped by bringing your defender over too him.#SimnationComment

Re: OS Hoopers....What are your balling tips?
My first dunk came when I was 13 and about 6'4. I was 6'6 by the start of my freshman year in HS and stopped growing around 19 years old (which sucked in a way because that means I didn't start filling out and putting on a lot of muscle until I was 19-20)."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

6'3. I'm taller than most people I deal with, but we've definitely got some giants in here.Comment

Re: OS Hoopers....What are your balling tips?
I'm just 5'9.Looks like I'm done growing. Most of my game is midrange and driving to the basket. I shoot a lot off picks, this is mainly because I have to run point and create my own shot most of the time. Usually if I make a turnover or stupid play I try to get it back by playing tough defense. I've also got a pretty big body (I'm about 180-190) and am stronger than a lot of pgs (playing football my entire life helped) so I post up smaller guards when I play too from time to time.

I'm only 5'11 but I will get busy on you out on the wing. I haven't been lifting as heavy lately since I've been training for this 5 & 10k so the J has been on point. When I was younger I could never palm the ball to try to dunk but now I can palm it easy, too bad my legs are almost gone, lol.
If you can only do one thing well make it shooting. Shooting opens up your game and creates spacing on the court.
I never really understood guys who played/practiced a lot but couldn't shoot. You work on your moves/handle by yourself but at the end of the move you're shooting it.
Youngins have it easy now these days with all the training/specialization/nutritional info out there. The level of competition has really stepped up though.Comment

i think you and I have similar builds... i got that Baron Davis/Deron Williams CP3/Chauncey/Andre Miller bulldozer build, from playin football as well.
Its a good thing though, we are tanks and can post up dudes our height who arent as strong as we are. my post moves are impeccable!
my game used to be based on slashing more than anything since i was corrupted by allen iverson (lol)...now ive become more of a true point guard, work the PnR, mid range jumper, hit the three, set up others.
I dont really look to score much at all but it mostly depends who im playing with.
I'd rather get an assist than score personally#SimnationComment
