    That avatar is mesmerizing

I play all kinds of games, but I put most of my time into sports games by far. This year it is College Hoops 2k8, NCAA online dynasty, etc.

LOL, that's the first thing I thought when I read FF's reply.

I was an "Only Sports" but then my buddy's Xbox broke and he started hanging at my house more. Thus, expanding my variety of games towards more co-op gameplay such as "Simpsons, Castle Crashers, CoD and Gears of War".

We all knew he couldn't resist the lure of the video game! Many have tried and most have failed to break the habit...

Like a few have said, I used to be a sports ONLY type of guy... I wouldn't even give anything else the time of day. However, starting with the Halo series, I've branched out more and more. Right now, I'd say it's about 50/50 sports vs. other titles. I can't imagine only playing sports games now...

I only play sports games and the GTA series. Lost my interest in any other kind of video game a long time ago.

mostly sports and something else here and there. I don't get this online FPS crap though. Right now I'm playing NCAA Football (which I just got), College Hoops 2k8 (which I just got), and Fire Pro for PS2. When The Show drops, I won't play anything else until baseball season is over.

It is a ridiculous waste of money and I'm beginning to reign it in now ... until resident Evil 5 comes out. I'll probably buy it and let it sit too.

Right now I have Fallout 3 and Fable II both sitting unopened, both bought on midnight launch. I have GTA IV sitting around and I've probably put 3 hours into it total and paid full price. I have Mass Effect sitting unfinished and forgotten. I have Condemned 2 sitting unopened (although I got it for $30). Oblivion was never given a fair shake. Godfather is half finished. I still have other games on backlog to star/finish.

I've also recently began to repurchase my favorite Xbox sports titles. In the last 6 months I've bought High Heat 2004, MVP College Baseball 2006, All Star Baseball 2003 and 2005, Blitz 20-02, and NFL Fever 2003 and 2004. On top of that I still have MVP Baseball 05, all of the XSN sports games (Links, Inside Drive, Rivals, Top Spin, etc.) and ESPN NFL 2k4, 2k5, NCAA Football 2K3, and a lot of the old ESPN Basketball 2k, College Hoops 2k, and Hockey 2k games.

Edit: I forgot, I have Dead Space sitting on my shelf still in the shrink wrap as well.
I took advantage of EB's trade in 5 games and get an additional 30% trade in plus 10% with the Edge card and traded in all my non-sports games. I got $200 and then proceded to get 6 more used older sports games. Which goes along with the other 6 my dad bought me for Christmas.

I used to be a sports gamer only and the Metal Gear & Splinter Cell series changed that. Now I am open to other genres but my heart will always be with sports games.

The one thing that has changed is that I am enjoying sports titles that I had no interest in in the past (NHL,FIFA,MLB The Show & Racing).

Used to be a huge NFL and NBA gamer but because of all of the tweaking and sliding that you have to do now to get them to play right I just gave up on them ( I am talking to you especially NBA 2K9).

Tried GTA, but the 'beatin' up hookers' thing gave me that 'less than fresh' feeling...

                          Sports only...

Saw Madden in 2001 (big wow at the time) and as a Strat-O-Matic / Electric Football childhood 'survivor' of the 70's, sports gaming is why I got a console and continue to play it...

I own two games for my PS3: The Show and CH2K8. I play nothing but sports games...I've never been able to get into non-sports games.

I used to be strictly a sports gamer, then Halo came and I was addicted. Since then, I've branched out a lot more (COD, GOW, Guitar Hero, Rock Band). I used to never like any RPG elements in games either until I got Mass Effect as a gift last Christmas, which turned into one of the best games I've ever played.

95% SPORTS gamer. I have Gears of war 1 and 2,Uncharted,GTA, Meat gear 4, i think thats it. I did gamefly and beat COD4 great game. But have not try COD5. GameFly is good for sports gamers to try new games
