Re: OS Off Topic 2009
absolutely terrible. its graded on a 50point scale. I got a 24. then he took off 10 points because I wrote in pen (i cant believe I didnt remember him telling us that). i got a 14/50. I nearly cried(literally) when I saw this but quickly realized that he drops the lowest test grade. Whew. I just didnt study enough... I only go to school 2 days a week and it is hard to force myself to do math on my days off.

Re: OS Off Topic 2009
I usually do well in the beginning and slightly fade off at the end of the semester so it sketches me out a little that I did so poorly. But since I already have a F in this class and its sitting on my transcript there is no point in dropping it (at least my GPA cant go down any further haha) Also I looked at the syllabus and Im almost positive I can do well in the class if I try a little.
I wouldnt be forced to take this class if I had a clue what was going on my freshman yr.
God I was such an idiot my freshman yr not even counting the partying I did... I had no clue about dropping classes...at the end of the fall semester I was like "Why are all my teachers calling the midterm's finals?" ...I thought that classes went all year long...oops! I ended up failing every class except one, physical anthropology, in which I got a D. So as one could imagine I have spent the last 5 yrs of my education working to correct mistakes I made over the course of a couple of months.Texas. Football. All. Day.Comment

I'm going with a friend to see the nascar race in Las Vegas in two weeks. It should be fun, he has garage seats with Kasey Kahne.WUSTLComment

I like it best when NASCAR (or any other circuit) goes on road courses. I find it a lot more interesting though it probably sucks for someone going to those races.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: OS Off Topic 2009
I'm sure it'll be fun but watching 30 cars going around in a circle for 3 hrs isn't all that entertaining to watch on TV.

His dad owns a midget car racing team and they have a lot of racing connections from that. I'll probably be able to meet some of the drivers so it should really be a blast. I'll meet Kasey Kahne for sure.WUSTLComment

It'll be fun because he's loaded. We're gonna have the best seats, and we're flying there on his private jet.

I know what you mean. Frustrating when you try to wrap your mind around it.
here are some famous last words regarding your statement.

Re: OS Off Topic 2009
It is.
They really just waste so much money and it doesn't really matter. I think they have season tickets to the Thunder, and the Dodgers and can't even make it to more than a couple games a year.
I know others whose families have just as much if not more money than they do that live much less lavish lifestyles. If they have the money though, who's stopping 'em.
There are quite a few rich oil families in Tulsa and most of their children go to my school, so I end up knowing a bunch of really rich people.WUSTLComment
