    Well I have two jobs in music. One is songwriter/artist (publishing contract with Interscope) in which I write Acoustic/Pop/Soul music and my other job is on the club scene, where I mix House, RnB, Hip Hop, Electro, depending what type of club it is.

    The songwriter/artist job has me traveling between New York and Los Angeles, whereas the DJ job mostly finds me gigs in Montreal, when I'm on vacation from the first job.

    I have though, on my free time, recorded some tracks that were heavily inspired by Satch/Vai.

                Satch is one of my favourites as well. I own all of his and Vai's albums, including the G3 DVD's. IMO, he helped in the evolution in the guitar and he really brought out the wonders of "guitar music." Not to mention, he was Vai's music teacher at one point!

                About work, I'm pretty busy lol. I'm still young but 2008 took a huge toll on me. I wasn't ready for the huge amount of traveling, meetings, contracts, working with other artists (which was hard, since ideas always conflict!) and pretty much everything involved with the gig. Also, living in LA for about six months was different for me. I understand that the Montreal and New York lifestyle are similar, but Montreal to LA was the complete opposite.

                Still though, can't say I don't love my job. Ever since I was young, I had two goals, play music, and own a restaurant. I hope to get both done by the time I'm done with.

                    Sounds like you're on the right path.

                    I can't imagine how different Montreal is from LA. My hate for Los Angeles is well-documented on OS, lol.

                                My brother and his wife got me a book for my birthday. Usually it's the best present I can ask for, but this one is...errrr about some politician, I'm sure you all know...ummm, don't want to talk about it. Tomrrow I'm gonna trade it with another book, hoefully the new Paul Auster novel, or the previous one. I hope they have it at that store. Will go to another branch if needed, I'm not gonna give it up. Books are a great thing.

                                    Who is the politician? It isn't against the TOS to at least mention the name.

                                        LOL nahh...no need, it's pretty obvious (that's the only clue you need). Anyway, it's not my thing so I'm gonna get some book that fits me better.

                                            Currently, I have nothing in mp3 format. I do have some material that I recorded on my own, though it is at the studio and I'm home right now. I might stop by later on tonight, so I'll pick up the Discs. Other stuff that I recorded for Interscope is in their hands, and thus, it cannot be released without their consent.
