    Re: OS Off Topic 2009

I drank too much last night to be at work this morning.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

When the snow fades away (especially the ice) I run every morning from 6-7. Keeps you in shape and it wakes you up! Unfortunately, right now in Montreal, trying to run is closest passage to suicide, with all the ice patches.

Last night I came to the understanding that I drink too much. So with that said i've decided to no liquor for me unless it's a party of some sorts. Plus I will only be drinking beer on saturdays and sundays. I don't want to say I have a problem but I can see it going there.

On a happier note I saw the movies Traitor , Eagle Eye , Iron Man , Pineapple Express , and Burn After Reading over the weekend. Enjoyed everyone except for Burn After Reading. Brad Pitt was good in it but the whole movie left me feeling I wasted 1 1/2 hours of my life.

I was wondering, is it better to run for an amount of time or for a certain distance? I just plan on running in the neighborhood and adjacent neighborhoods. I've always loved seeing how fast I can run a mile (around 5 minutes) so I like the speed not endurance aspect of running more.

walking to class this morning I slipped and almost fell. I would have fallen with all of my weight going on my left knee and my other leg would have been bent the wrong way under my body. That would have been bad.

Well either way is good. It depends what you are trying to improve: endurance and being able to run, while pacing yourself, for an hour, or improving your speed while using one mile, for instance, as a measuring point.

I like to work on both areas from time to time, though I focus more so on endurance since I feel accomplished after running for an hour (or more), with no break. In the end, I run because I love going through the city and basically sightseeing. During my few months in LA I got some running time near the beach and it was pretty awesome as well.

That explains why you didn't play your game last night.

Well, I think I'm officially done smoking cigarettes. I refuse to buy another pack.

The fact that I'd like to save $5 everyday. Plus, I've been smoking for almost two years at this point, and it's not something I want to do forever.

Thanks, man. I had quit for a week about a month ago, but started back up again after getting really stressed out. I should be able to do it.
