I am already over being at work today. I feel a "mental health"/"sick" day coming on in the next few weeks, either after The Lost and The Damned comes out, or after the baseball games are released.

I'm taking a "mental health day" today...woke up in time for classes (I have 3, from 10:10 to 1:15) but I just can't motivate myself to go.
I still have so much other stuff on my mind that class just isn't in my future right now.Comment

I've been having too many days like that recently. It doesn't help that I absolutely hate my classes on M-W-F and that I don't see the need in taking Spanish (I've already taken 5 years of it in HS/past years of college) and "Chinese Myths and Legends" when I am an English major, so I just have no motivation to go.
Not to mention I've been too busy thinking about/laughing at the ridiculous way a girl "asked me out" last night this morning and I just see no need in going to class today.Comment

Haha, it wasn't one of those ridiculous set-ups where I had to follow a path or whatever and there she was, just the wording she used.
First she was like "Would...." stopped and shut up, saying she thought better of it. Ten minutes later it was "Would you like..." again, she stopped and shook her head. This time I asked what and she said she didn't know if she wanted to ask.
Obviously by this point I know exactly what she wants to ask so I decide to just go along with it and see how long it takes to ask.
She then starts and stops the question about five times with: "Can," "Would," "Should," "Do you want" and "Would you want" again...
I start laughing, she gets embarrassed and finally settles on "Would you want to...not hook up with others girls?" I don't think she liked the fact that my immediate answer was laughter again.
I've been asked some...strange ways before, but settling on "Would you want to not hook up with other girls?" (I, of course, made her promise that she wasn't going to hook up with other guys) made me laugh.
There's a...lot of story that goes into what led up to this the past two weeks, but that's for another time or place.

It was actually a damn good balance of awkward and humorous. Awkward because I knew what she wanted to ask and had my answer already...and then funny because she couldn't get the words out and, when she did, they were worded a little differently than I expected.

The last 2 years I've been dating a girl on Valentine's Day. This year, single. So me and my friends are going to the bars because one of us is convinced that its easy to get pick up a girl at a bar on Valentine's Day.
