Re: OS Off Topic 2009
Okay, question.
I sorta kinda backed into someone's car last night, and I'm not sure if I should go to my insurance company about it or just pay for the repairs out of my pocket. I'm trying to make it so my mom can't find out for one, and for two she told me before that if I ever got into an accident, my insurance would go through the roof and I wouldn't be able to drive. I have no idea how my insurance plan works either.Comment

Yes, your insurance will likely go up. But if it isn't that big of a repair, it isn't going to go up a ton.
Just my 2 cents.Comment

It would actually be up to them, if they already filed a claim, then it's going through your insurance company. If you hit them and left, and he calls the police, you'll get a hit and run violation as well.
If the person you hit hasn't contacted anyone, and you can afford it, yes, pay it out of your pocket. It'll be an at fault accident, if you're under 25, it'll affect your rates for sure. Some companies have accident forgiveness, but all depends on your driving history on your policy.Comment

Re: OS Off Topic 2009
Yeah, I did, and they haven't filed anything yet.
I have State Farm and I think I have one of their lowest/least expensive packages, so I'm not sure if I have accident forgiveness or not. I haven't been in any accidents or gotten any tickets before.Comment

I plan on using this bonus along with my income tax returns to open up a trading account. Its something I've been wanting to get into for awhile but it seems like every year around this time some unforseen expense comes up. Hopefully not this year.Comment

Re: OS Off Topic 2009
Thanks guys. From what I've read about the company, I would really fit in well. A great salary for a recent grad, great benefits, and great perks (well-stocked break room, with snacks/drinks/Wii).
Great dress code too, just be comfortable. Hopefully they feel I'm a good fit, because I feel like I fit a lot of what they want in their job posting.Comment
