Hopefully they can get the plane out of the river without incident. Don't want the fuel tanks exploding or for fuel to spill out into the river.Comment

Give the pilot and rescuers a parade down 6th. Amazing that there wasn't a single fatality.xbl gamertag: jiggidyjames72Comment

Re: What's going on in the Hudson?
That pilot did a fantastic job at landing that plane. It looks like there probably were not any fatalities and the two pilots and the flight attendants deserve a lot of credit for getting everyone off safely. And they were able to land it flatly and safely in the Hudson River over the river, which is nice.
From what I hear, a flock of pigeons (Well, now I'm hearing geese; whatever the case, they were birds) hit the jet engines and knocked them out on takeoff. That's pretty much the worst time to lose an engine. I guess that's just one of those unfortunate things that happen with air travel, but luckily everything seems to be okay for the most part.Last edited by superjames1992; 01-15-2009, 06:01 PM.Comment

Re: What's going on in the Hudson?
I swear, eyewitness accounts suck. I know statistics show them to be highly unreliable, anyways, but there's no way some of this stuff could have been happening. Unless people were taking off their seatbelts as the plane was going down (Which I don't know why you would do...), people wouldn't be flying through the air, ect...
And then the news people say that some of the pilots could be 68 years old? No they couldn't. You're not allowed to fly past 65 (And it used to be 60 just last year).Last edited by superjames1992; 01-15-2009, 06:02 PM.Comment

Ironicly, I just read a day or so ago how airlines hadn't had a major crash in over 2 years.Originally posted by VP Richard M. NixonI always remember that whatever I have done in the past, or may do in the future, Duke University is responsible one way or the other.

Re: What's going on in the Hudson?
Amazing no one was hurt. Luckily they were not too high (planes don't glide ! They drop like a rock). Different story if they would of crashed on land too.My Fan Page http://theusualgamer.net/MyFanPage_Heelfan71.aspx
