I agree. Never done any dope, never smoked cigs, and never have or will drink alchohol simply to get drunk.

Well hey at least your getting there. It's certainly a process. For me it was mostly what my parents taught me and hearing about what dope did to other family members.

People thought that coke, opium and other dope had 1001 uses. Look what happened. I'm not saying that weed would be as bad but I'm still against it.

I bet you do not know that battlefield Morphine Is made from Opium and Novocaine is made from Cocaine.

I take it your a young guy. Unless you have no friends, you will try some of those things you listed, It is part of growing up. Everyone does, whether they admit to it or not. You have to make decisions for yourself, do not let commercials dictate your life.

But why do you care if I get high or drunk? Obviously if I get high and drive a car, then yeah, even though you don't hear about a high driver causing a crash very often. There is no harm I am causing to society by getting high in my room. You can believe it's morally wrong, that's your right, but I think it goes too far when that morality is used as a crutch to justify that smoking marijuana in your own home is a crime.

Yeah I know that perscription drugs are mad out of illegal dope. But those drugs just aren't abused to get high in the situations that they are used in.

I'm haven't done and am not planning on using any dope. And I know plenty who aren't part of this "everyone" that you speak of.

WTF? I'm sure Phelps has been unproductive in his life. I'm sure the people who have tried it here, or do it regularly, are doing it to ruin their life and be unproductive. That's just a ridiculous statement.

For those saying weed is harmless... having worked the wrecks that I've worked, involving intoxicated drivers, you see the true effects. It has some nasty effects. Not only in driving, but in domestic abuses and other physical altercations.

I'm of the party that never participated in any kind of drug activity, and after seeing the things that was the bi-product of such, I'd advise against it wholeheartedly.

What are you supposed to do? Make a law that says that drugs are legal as long as you do them at home?
