Just poured this. The beer itself doesn't belong in this thread but the name gets it a mention.

Re: Another Great Tasting Beer Thread
Seriously, I picked up some Fat Head's Head Hunter IPA , & I'd rank this beer as good as ANY IPA out there. I'm talkin Pliny the Elder, Bell's Hopslam, Stone Ruination, Dogfish Head...well, you get the point... It's ALMOST as good as Oskar Blues Deviant Dale’s India Pale Ale..almost.So MY drinks up
to THIS Ohio gem.

Re: Another Great Tasting Beer Thread
Gonna try that SN Torpedo tonight
Saw it at the grocery store which surprised me. I was like "wait a minute, they've been mentioning that one in the OS beer thread", and grabbed a sixer.

Re: Another Great Tasting Beer Thread
Anyway guys, I tried out a couple beers this weekend. First was Guinness. I thought it'd be a good introduction to stouts and I gotta say... not really a fan. It was OK. I will say this, after the first couple of sips I hated it but the more I drank the more it grew on me. I have heard Guinness is more of a bottom of the line stout nowadays so I'm willing to give some others a try.
Second one I tried was a real treat. Duvel. Was just browsing through the selection at Total Wine and looking for something strong/more abv and found that bad boy. Holy crap. I loved it. And for 8.5% alcohol, it's amazing how drinkable it is. Fortunately they're sold in 4 packs because that beer sneaks up on you fast.
That said my favorite is still the SN Torpedo I think. There's something about the bitterness of IPA's I really like.Indianapolis Colts

Damn my palate is unrefined. Holy flavor! But also holy bitterness! It's clear my tastebuds have been hypnotized into thinking watered down flavor is the way to go. I'm going to have to give it time to get used to real beer.Wolverines Wings Same Old Lions Tigers Pistons Erika ChristensenComment

Re: Another Great Tasting Beer Thread
Picked up a sixer of Shipyard Pumpkinhead yesterday. Decided to have one later that night.
Poured at room temp
I thought it is a terrible beer. Plain, watered down, boring, and zero pumpkin flavor. I later read on the box that it has "artificial" flavoring, WTF no wonder.
Then the after taste is this horrible perfume flavor is only way I can describe it.
Terrible beer in my opinion and needs to be avoided.

Re: Another Great Tasting Beer Thread
I picked up a 6-pack of the New Belgium Pumpkick. I think I finally found a pumpkin ale that isn't awful or great. It's decent and has a little added cranberry in it to give it a unique taste compared to other pumpkin ales.
This Friday, my store apparently gets the Whole Hog Pumpkin Ale from Point Brewery. That's the one I've been waiting for.Comment

Schlafly pumpkin ale is my favorite, two craft beer stores I have checked are out but I'm on a call list for when they get it in."You can not ensure success, but you can deserve it." - John Quincy Adams
