I find that there isn't any middle ground with pumpkin ales. They're either awful or amazing.

I've tried one pumpkin ale and hated it. Kind of like those damn beers with a pepper in them.

So I was talking beer with my buddy the other night, and I realized how long its been since I had a lager, I honestly don't even remember. So I got some Prima Pils in one of my growlers this week to remind me how delicious they can be.

Also, a new lager-only craft brewery is in the process of opening up in Nashville:

Southern Tiers is one I like but only because the bar puts brown sugar and cinnamon on the rim of the glass. I just hate pumpkin is the bigger problem I think. Haven't had pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving since I was 16 (I'm 32).

I love going to local microbrews.

I've started collecting glasses or mugs with their logo/name on them. When I eventually buy a house, I really want a basement with a bar and clear cabinets to store a bunch of those microbrew glasses. Some of them are cool as hell.

Love Good People Pale Ale- so perfectly balanced. One of my favorites. Thankfully I can get it pretty routinely here in Nashville.

I have an extremely open mind when it comes to off-the-wall craft beers, but I find all pumpkin beer disgusting.

The only thing worse to me is any kind of "smoked" beer. Just tastes like someone scraped a grill and bottled it.

I could find you a good pumpkin beer... in the area too. Never in a million years would I expect a Sam Adams pumpkin beer to be good. The Boston Lager is heavy for what it is and alot of their beers (besides the IPAs) have that same feeling. Add pumpkin to that and it just sounds miserable.

Was at Meijer tonight and did not know they had a craft beer section. Was pretty surprised. As for this weekend I just bought a bunch of Sierra Nevada. Haven't had it in a while.

I'm all ears. Just wanted to try it as I try any new pumpkin beer than I can, just because I want to find a good one.

Should've gone with something else, but I tried a Sam Adams Oktoberfest tonight. Blah.

I've never been a fan of Oktoberfests. I'm a fan of anything Brooklyn puts out, except their Oktoberfest. By far my least favorite.
