Sierra Nevada has one called Old Chico Session IPA. At 4% ABV it's perfect for putting down a number pints. Only available at the brewery though.

Did anyone manage to get hold of any of Stone's last batch of Enjoy By (7/4/13)? Phenomenal as usual for Stone.

Speaking of Stone, very glad to see they decided to make RuinTen an annual release. Managed to pick up a couple of those recently too.

I was at Costco a couple days ago, a warehouse store not sure if they are only west coast, and they've managed to get some very good craft brews in there lately. I picked up Lagunitas Lucky 13, Knee Deep Hop Shortage, Delirium Tremens, Ommegang Three Philosophers, Unibrou La Fin Du Monde(and a Woodchuck Cider for the lady, shhhh).

I've had them all before except the La Fin Du Monde. Looking forward to that one still. Any opinions? I don't drink many Canadian beers.

Gonna have to keep my eyes out for this one. I see Black/Dark IPA becoming more and more popular and I'm liking what I've been tasting.

La Fin du Monde is great. Just watch out, it's strong.

I agree man, I love just plain ol Guinness but I end up running through so many beers I like to switch it up every now and then.

Oh and La Fin Du Monde is fantastic. I like my beers strong so most of the Unibroue line I really like. Trois Pistoles is another I have a sweet spot for, Maudite is not bad either but I'd go for LFDM and TP before it.

I've become such a hop head that I was totally out of my element with the Fin but it was so light and refreshing tasting. Loved it, nice change of pace. Very surprised that I couldn't taste the high ABV.

Was browsing the Publix selection tonight, and decided to try the pick-six deal they've got... venture out a little from the Coors Light and Corona Extra.

Picked up one of each of the following... Red Stripe, Guinness Extra Stout, Lazy Magnolia Southern Pecan, Naked Pig, Anchor Steam, and Dead Guy Ale. Probably won't drink any of them until tomorrow night, though.

As I said, just trying to expand my tastes some. I'd heard good things about a few of the names, others sounded pretty decent and the shelf was almost empty. Had to rob a Dead Guy and Naked Pig out of six-packs in the cold section.

That Guinness Extra Stout must have thermometer levels of iron in it. If I'm ever feeling a little sick or run down I have two bottles of that and I'm golden.

Can I get a little more beer cred if I am sipping on a Shock Top Belgian White right now?

Alright, I know my palate may be young and not very well developed yet because of my excessive consumption of Corona Extra, BUT I cannot get over the amazing flavors of Lazy Magnolia's Southern Pecan.

Of the six-pack I picked up last week, this is beyond my favorite. So much so that I've got twelve in the fridge, not counting the three I had last night with a plate of raw oysters. Yeah.

Still venturing our. Dead Guy was good, and I haven't found a Blue Moon I don't like yet.

Any suggestions to go along with those tastes? Not wanting to get crazy with the stout taste, but I'm open.

Quite nice how my liking for Dead Guy has increased in just a few days. Maybe it's the fact that I'm drunk right now. Bought three more Dead Guys last night. Looks like I'll need to replace those and others after tonight. Ah well.

I had some of that Southern Pecan while the wife and I were honeymooning in Florida this March. Young palate or not, that is a damn fine beer, especially in warm spring, hot summer months. I may have to go request some at my local spot. It is fantastic!
