Any posters from Idaho? Lol, I tried this huckleberry cream ale from Lauging Dog Brewing. Place I get my stuff from had a craft brewing "festival". God not great, a little light on the back end, but a nice "summer porch" or "manning the grill" beer.

I had 312 Wheat from Goose Island on Friday and then Sunday. Pretty enjoyable. Wheat beer but finishes like a pilsner. Kind of odd but very easy to drink a lot of it.

That explains it. If this is your sole purpose, then Bud Light, Coors Light or any other cheap American Lager/Swill, will serve your purpose.

Big beers, and particularly craft beers, are not for everyone, just like any other hobby. Sounds like you're looking to get something else from drinking beer than most of the people in this thread.

My new favorite session beer is Racer 5. Just a nice smooth, mellowed out IPA for hanging out with friends and having a good time.

Banana bread beer??? Gotta try that sometime, I love banana bread, haha.

Picked up some Fat Tire tonight. I had only had one before I bought it today. I enjoyed it; a lot of flavors going on there.

I really like Racer 5, but don't know if I'd call it "mellowed out" lol. It's definitely got some punch.

I hate fruity beer, and a banana bread beer just sounds like it's trying too hard...

... but this one is pretty damn good, I have to admit.

3rd Shift & Batch 19 not bad on tap, if you like Amber lagers...these beers are for you at a reasonable price. I dig the old style bottles too. comes in 6ers & 12pks. GREAT sessional brews imo.

Batch 19 is pretty solid. The one time I had Third Shift though I thought it was terrible.

Saw THird Shift at CEC during the Penguins game the other night (because they love their Labatt) so I decided I would try it for $10 lol and didn't really like it much either.

I'd be willing to try it again though at a more reasonable price.

And the crazy thing about Batch19 is that it comes from Coors.

The big breweries (Miller Coors and Annheuser Busch) both have a few solid beers.

Annheuser has Goose Island, Leffe, and Hoegaarden which I enjoy. Coors has Batch 19 and Leienkugel.

They also have Stella/Shock Top and Peroni/Blue Moon but I'm not really fans of those but I know plenty who are.
