Re: Another Great Tasting Beer Thread
I'm slowly starting to get into beers. My recent trip to KC, STL, and CHI somewhat got my appetite going. I think I really like the Hefewizen, Witber-style beers. Any suggestions?Comment

Damn, I saw the Franziskaner at Trader Joe's just now but didn't pick it up.
I had the Ayinger in Chicago, wasnt too crazy about it.
I really liked the Kapuziner, that was delicious.Comment

Hoegaarden is always a reliable choice too, and you can find it relatively easily.Comment

Re: Another Great Tasting Beer Thread
Thanks man. I came across a Weather Channel website with all sorts of old school stuff on it and had to use it.
But back to beer...
Last night, I hit my 200th beer at the Flying Saucer so I get my plate up on the wall and a free $100 for any night. Since I have three other buddies doing it and are almost done (one on his 3rd, the other two on their 2nd), we'll have $400 between us for alcohol and food in one night. Should be pretty amazing.
It's pretty crazy to imagine that 8 months ago, I hated beer. 6 months ago, I could only handle a Blue Moon. Now, I can pretty much drink anything. Still some trouble with the extreme hoppy beers but other than that, I can handle it.Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment

And I had this beer last night and it was so delicious.
I realized, thanks to the UFO Club, that you can not go wrong with Samuel Smith. Every one is a tasty one.Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment

Yea Samuel Smith makes everything top notch. I also tend to agree on the same note with Sam Adams. For a cheaper route almost everything they produce is quality for a good price.Comment

Re: Another Great Tasting Beer Thread
I had these last night.
McSorley's Irish Black Lager
Verdict: I was not impressed with it. It is a really dark beer of course but the taste just did not hold up. Very little taste. Small hints of Chocolate and roasted tones. On a whole did not have the flavor of some of my other dark favorites. The mouth feel was pretty weak in my opinion also. Very light and not a whole lot of substance. I give it a C-
Sam Adams Blackberry Witbier
Verdict: Not quite sure why I got this. Knowing I don't like sweet beers. Taking that into consideration, it is not half bad. It is a tad sweet for my taste. But it is refreshing and the flavor is good. Sam Adams makes good quality stuff for the price. This is just not my style of beers. I give it a B-Comment
