I don't think there's THAT much of a coffee presents...more malt-forward; toasty and bready, caramel and chocolate malts... slightly hoppy & nutty. don't taste anything like a porter imo.

To each their own and that's why everybody needs to try for themselves. Tumbler is a Brown Ale, not a porter, and there are much better browns available. It's smooth though and the forward has the sweetness from the malt and chocolate but on my tongue it finishes with coffee and is very prominent.

I've had some good browns here and there. Brooklyn Brewery makes a good one. So does South Shore (Ashland, WI).

A good one that should be available nationwide would be Leinenkugel's Nut Brown Ale.

I guess I kinda dug a hole there for myself. When I think of browns I guess I prefer English browns. Usually American browns have the more added coffee taste that I don't care for. I can't think of any American browns that don't really.

I think I just realized I just don't like browns. I know I'll keep trying them though.

You got it. New Castle, no zero coffee. Samuel Smith has a hint. If I remember right Nut Brown has a ton of coffee, Goose's Naughty Goose is more my taste.

And I did think of one American I like, Wasatch's Bobsled Brown. Speaking of porters I love their Polygamy Porter and it does have plenty of coffee taste. I'm confusing myself even more now.

Fantastic! Nice and smooth, but a beautiful slightly hint of a caramel malt flavor on each sip!

So good I had to buy some more. But only one, once a week, because I have to remain strict on dieting down and training.

I am telling you fellas, this stuff is legit!

Sat down with some of this tonight. I had always heard good things but had never had any. I have to say, "Its about ****ing time!" Superb ale. So many things going on in this beer. Sweet malt flavors balanced with lots of hops. Instant favorite of mine, can't believe I waited this long.
