Re: Another Great Tasting Beer Thread
Damn man, that sounds delicious!
I need to find some beers to pair with Thanksgiving dinner. We'll be having turkey, honey ham, lamb, and of course all the typical potatoes and stuff like that.
Was thinking Sierra Nevada Tumbler Ale. Something safe and easy, nothing too spectacular? I dunno. It's a brown ale.Comment

It's pretty much Older Bro #1 and myself who drink beer anyway. Sixer should do it.Comment

Man I need to find a store around here that sales this kind of stuff.
"Cinnamon, Honey,Clove,Gingerbread,Sugar Cookies,Caramel,Toffee"
So do you actually taste a hint of these flavors? I've wanted to try beers like this to try and expand my pallet. The craziest I've gotten is Blue Moon.Comment

Re: Another Great Tasting Beer Thread
Sitting down with a couple of these tonight, New Belgium Snow Day, 6.2% abv, 55 IBU, 17 OG:
Nothing too special. Roasty with a surprising amount of hop flavor for such a dark beer. All in all not a lot of complexity but a good one none the less.
For a Colorado brewery it's surprising to see New Belgium get a lot of shelf space in CA supermarkets mixed in with all the more local breweries. Do you guys see New Belgium east of the Mississippi?Oakland Athletics San Jose Sharks

Re: Another Great Tasting Beer Thread
I gotta find this Great Lakes Christmas Ale. It shouldn't be hard being in the midwest. I heard it's better then the Sam Adams Christmas Ale which I love, I'll be going to the package store tomorrow.Ohio State - Reds - Bengals - Blackhawks - BullsComment

Re: Another Great Tasting Beer Thread
If ya DIG coffee or espresso...THIS is for you
IBU: 40 ABV: 8.9%
12 ounce bottle into snifter, batch 2. Pours dark as night was a small fairly dense tan head with decent retention, that reduces to a ring of lace. Small bits of lacing clinging to the glass as well. Aromas of big dark chocolate, caramel, roasted malt, bitter coffee, vanilla, toffee, molasses, and oats. Some very nice and balanced aromas here. Taste of big dark chocolate, caramel, vanilla, roasted malt, and espresso. Decent amount of coffee bitterness present on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, chocolate, coffee, vanilla, and roasted malt. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a nice creamy mouthfeel. No alcohol noticed other than a warming after the finish. Good amount of drinkability but it is still a sipper. Overall a very nice coffee stout from Flying Dog.Comment
