Definitely a crappy beer, but I found this stuff called Beer 30 Ice. 4.99 for a 30 rack plus tax and deposit. A college kids dream.

They've brewed such crap beer that's it's now cheaper then the water they initially used.

Re: Another Great Tasting Beer Thread

You guys ever read the reviews for some of the garbage beers like Bud Light just for fun? I'm in tears over here!

                Bud Light: http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/29/1320

12 oz can. Tried it at friend’s Super Bowl party. Pours pale straw with a white head. Aroma of rotten eggs is much more pronounced than in regular Budweiser . Soda like body. There is not much taste here, somewhat like sweet carbonated water. It went down the sink drain nicely.
If I were American, this being one of the best selling beers in the States would make me so sad (even if I come from a country where beer is understood as a yellow liquid).

Clear, oh so clear, not even yellow, more of a translucent beige colour. No head (what for?). Smell is inexistant, if any, it is of metal an raw corn. Bitter taste, I can not finish one of these.
No mouthfeel - it is like drinking carbonated water.
All in all, the worst beer i have had in my life together with Coors Light and Coronita. PBR beats the **** out of this and it is even cheaper.
As I poured out the pee colored liquid in to my plastic cup, I knew I was in for something really "special".

Then after one sip of the flavorless liquid, I knew I was someplace that I knew I never wanted to return to again.

I then quickly handed it back to my host and traded it for a glass of ice water which had a much better color, smell and taste.
                Coors Light: http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/306/837

                This is bad.

Pours with decent head, but distinctly lacking aroma.

Smell is reminiscent of that of a bird bath... stale, with subtle notes of bird ****.

Tastes like it smells. If you must drink it, make sure its as 'cold as the rockies' so your taste buds are numb.

Mouth feel? Usually happens twice... once at the frat party, and again in the frat house bathroom, with more texture and sour notes.
Ahh Coors Light, a perennial favorite of college kids across the country. Opened the fridge today to find only coors light, my room mates favorite. Figured I have nothing better to do, so might as well throw my two cents on this beer.

A: Served from a can, and let me tell ya, I got a kick out of the can. It has 2 bars at the bottom, to tell me not only when my beer is cold, but when its super cold, what ever the hell super cold is, also advertises its wide mouth, and a vent off the mouth that supposedly helps pouring. Its kind of like miller lite with its vortex neck, if your beer tastes like swill you have to throw in some gimmicks. I talk of the can, cause there's nothing to good to talk about the beer's appearance. The head disappeared almost immediatley, no lacing, and overly bubbly. Also a very pale yellow, almost like someone poured water into a beer.

S: As weak as a beer can smell, a corn smell was the only note I could really detect, if there were hops I certainly couldn't smell it.

T: Debatably the weakest beer I've ever tasted, with bud light only competing with it in that field. There is a slight bready taste, buts it's fleeting. They like to advertise coors light as refreshing, and they're right, water is refreshing.

M: Very thin, and I'm not liking how carbonated it is.

O: One of the worst beers on the market, and mystifyingly one of the most popular beers out there. There is simply no excuse to buy this beer unless your a high school or college kid who needs some beer for quaters or beer pong. No self respecting beer lover whould be caught dead purchasing this swill
Being from Missouri, I had to review what amounts to fermented goat urine. Besides being awesome for college beer pong tourneys, this stuff is barely fit for human consumption (along with Miller Light and Bud Light). It's interesting that you can get some of the top non-pastuerized beers on Earth for only slightly additional cost.
                Appearance: Amber water
Smell: None noted, hints of diarrhea?
                Taste: Water and slight hops
                Mouthfeel: Water
Overall: Terrible, leaves you feeling bloated and sick.
                This is fun.

I know its not a beer, but I love Crown Royal. So I was at my local liquor gorecery store. All kinds of stuff. Beer, wine, liquor. Anyways, I came across this stuff. Caribou Crossing. Goes for $51 a bottle in Maryland. Anyways, it is tasty and way smoother than Crown. I think I am in love. Even comes in a blue velvet bag, similar to the purple one that crown comes in. It is creamy with creme brulee undertones. I think I need to grab another bottle. It is pure win, for those that love Canadian whiskey.

I just bought a mega-jug of Crown from Costco...solely for the bag it came in (which will be perfect for my "blind draw" boardgames). It's good stuff, though.

As for beer, it's still all Surly all the time. With Abrasive still available, Furious and Bender all the time, and the various "big bottle" seasonals (Smoke this time of year), I'm set forever. I still enjoy the various variety packs from Samuel Adams and New Belgium, along with the larger singles from Stone and others, but it's really just Surly, and I will not complain.

Until I move out of the state.

Had a new one at my local watering hole last week. Dogfish Head - Hellhound On My Ale.. It's one of their limited brews. Really enjoyed it. Actually enjoyed it too much, and at 10% ABV, I was feeling pretty good after like 8 of them.

It' and American Double IPA, very citrusy. Interesting flavor, but I enjoyed it.
