I'm extremely stoked to try this Sam Adams release

Pleasantly plump and satisfied. This rich and luscious brew indulges in flavor with over 28 lbs. of pumpkin per barrel, for a full bodied sweetness and deep russet color. Classic pumpkin pie spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice ignite a warmth and spark that’s deepened by an undercurrent of roasty smoked malts. The result is a delectable brew full of enveloping layers of flavor and spice.

Man, when is that bad boy coming out? I love Sam's limited release beers (Cinder Bock is glorious). Can't wait!

Like everywhere else, we've got a lot of brewing companies popping up in Nashville

Heres one opening next week, pretty excited about it....

That Sam Adams Fat Jack looks great. I just asked my spot if they plan on getting it. They're going to get back to me tomorrow about it. *Fingers crossed*

Hopefully it's a good one and hopefully I can get it in LA.

I wasn't blown away by the only other pumpkin ale I had, DFH, but I love pumpkin so much I can't help but drink it anyway.

Do you remember which IPA it was? They bottle a couple, Columbus and a Double IPA. I've seen them but never tried them.

Negative Motown. I just stopped by my local beer spot and grabbed two pints of the bad boy. I'll be cracking into one of them later tonight!

Finally hunted down a bottle of Three Philosophers and also picked a bottle of Knee Deep's Simtra triple IPA (131 IBU, 11.25% ABV) for this weekends enjoyment. .

Thoroughly enjoyed the Fat Jack. If you're going in expecting in your face pumpkin aromas and flavors, you'll be disappointed. It's definitely there, but the combination of the other spices leaves the pumpkin fairly muted. However, it's got an incredible flavor. I'd say you get as much cinnamon out of it as pumpkin.

Overall, I'm excited to crack into the 2nd pint tonight. Definitely a great fall beer (yeah, I know, it's still summer). Hopefully it's still available in a couple months.
