Tried a new type of beer last night, a farmhouse IPA by Schlafly. Essentially, it is a hopped saison. Really tasty, not as hoppy as an IPA but the hops made a good addition to the peppery saison.

I ended up buying a 6 pack!

Blood and Honey is legit. It's one of my favorite summer or post-workout beers. Goes down way too easy! Just eat the orange if they try to give you one with it. Doesn't need to be squeezed in like a Blue Moon.

It's alright. Definitely an average beer. If you like a sweeter beer, this is for you (22 IBU, I believe).

This beer will knock you on your butt. 11.6% ABV. I think it was like $16 for a 4 pack, but damn, it's good.

I'm sure thats similar to the Stone Old Guardian I posted couple post back. 11% abv, but I'm a high abv buyer. I generally don't buy anything under 6% but tend to stick with some cheap go to's like New Belgium's Rampant (8.5%) or New Belgium's Ranger (6.5). For $9.99 a six pack you can't beat the abv to quality plus quantity you receive.

Post 2707 is perfect example of my high abv buying LOL

Aventinus - 8.2%

Speaking of high abv, Lagunitas, making sure it's on shelves for 4/20, released their one hitter series this week in 12 Oz bottles this year for the first time ever.

Waldos Special Ale, comes in at 11.5%

Found a sixer for $10 at one of my hit and miss places. I don't think he knew what he had. Found it for $14 at my go to guy.

If you can find this get it.

Brewery out of Houston called Brash has a stout called Vulgar Display of Power. 14%. Went though a liter growler of it in one night and was gooooood.

Yeah I was rather underwhelmed by this one. Not terrible but not what I was expecting.
