    Again. I'm sorry.
I don't know if everything will get better. I have lost grandparents before but I was never actually in their presense when they died. This death really hit home considering she died 20 feet away from me. I am wondering how she managed to make her way up the stairs if she was so weak.

Things will get better, you have to remember all the good times you had, and try and blank out what you saw earlier, just remember the good times.

I am really wishing I had put her to sleep right now. At least I would have some control over the situation. Having no control is so hard. Her face though................ugh. Just finding her lying lifelessly on the floor, her body cold and limp. It sucks.

I also dread the day she's gone, just hearing your pain has gotten me a little emotional because I love her very much. My prayers are with you during this time. Be well my friend
Thanks. I need the prayers right now.

                  Re: My dog just died.

The thing is Alex you are not alone. People lose love ones and animals every day and they finally get over it. So I wouldn't worry about too much you will get over it too. It just takes time. My advice is go do some things you really like to do. And do that for a couple of days. Go out and have fun. I did that when my brother died and when I had to put my dog to sleep.

Sorry for your loss as I know that can be really tough. As others mentioned, just remember the good times and know she is in peace now. Stay strong man.

I called the doctor to tell him that my little Abby had passed and he told me that she had some kind of genetic kidney disorder and that there was nothing I could do. She had been sick for about 5 months and had lost alot of weight. The really sad part is that I think she was looking for me upstairs in her final moments.

Hey, look at it like this, she passed her way, not no doctors way or even your way, she went on her terms in the grace of her own home and her owner. Don;t be so hard on yourself, it sounds like you were a great owner.

The tough part is to see that life goes on no matter what happens. Kids still playing on their swing sets outside, people walking to Dunkin Donuts to get a coffee, kids enjoying the spring weather outside and riding bikes. It is tough to see that, but it is the truth. I went outside to do some reflecting by sitting under a big Oak Tree (balling my eyes out) all the while my neighbors think I am a basket case.

My Abby looked almost identical to this:

I wouldn't worry about it. All people grieve different. Ever since my brother die I don't cry at death any more. I lost a good friend about a couple of month and didn't shed one tear. I think I am all tear out. Losing my brother was so freaking painful. I guess when my mom and dad die I will be crying again. Or if I lost my 2 boys and wife I would be crying. That is the truth life does good on. I could die tonight and there were be someone ready to take my job. That is life it will keep going on even if you are not there.
