I haven't seen quite the caliber of storms that you all see there, but I have seen several severe storms in my lifetime. Don't get me wrong, I like thunderstorms, but I am a snow lover to the fullest. Too bad North Carolina isn't exactly the snowiest place in the world. We only get 9.2" per year on average here.

To each their own I suppose. I love snow as well, but some snow doesn't compare to an incredible thunderstorm.

I love all types of weather as long as it's not ripping shingles off my roof or tearing down all the trees in my backyard (freezing rain, anyone?).

You guys are crazy. I hate thunderstorms because my power seems to go out very easily. Heck, it'll go out for no reason at all!

But I can appreciate thunderstorms. It's pure nature, pure power. That is cool.

I love it, I should have decided to be a meterologist instead of an engineer. Nothing better than standing outside and watching a wall cloud pass over you.

As long as it's not snow I'd take right about now.

Lucky you. We're going to be getting a foot of snow today, it's coming down like crazy right now, so we might have even more. I just knew winter wouldn't go away this easily.

I love thunderstorms, though we don't get that many around these parts.

Yep, getting the same beatdown from this storm also LC. I was hoping to roll right into spring, but this storm is going to drop a 12 incher on our head today and tonight , if not more.

I do love me a good thunderstorm............but they are a rare occasion here in Denver.

My favorite kind of weather actually. Not the real violent ones, but a nice downpour with thunder rolling in the background is, well it's the bees knees.

I love a good storm. I'm a big fan of taking pictures of lightning using long exposures.
