Just letting you know that some girls are aware of the Swanson dinner line. I've never used it, but one girl I dated from the site had 2 different guys send it to her. It'll probably work 95% of the time, but you might occasionally get called out on it.

They occasionally let me take a peek at the messages they get and some of them are weird as hell. Seen guys send messages like "Ever kicked a guy in the nuts. Can I be your first?" Now you know why any decent looking girl on OKC has the "Replies very selectively" next to their name.

You'd think girls would know how to better weed out crazies than some of the stories I've heard. Oh well.

Here's the line in action, probably the best response yet.

I met a chick on Match.com when I first moved to Baton Rouge almost 5 years ago. That was one crazy broad. This is how it ended:

I got called on it once. She asked if guys really thought copy and paste lines worked. I think I said for the amount of effort it takes the reward/failure is acceptable.

I can see that being a bad picture. Almost like she was trying to hide something when she does not have to.

                    Does she have confidence issues?

Re: Anyone try online dating sites?

My cousin gave this a try and was able to hookup with one girl. Also had a chance with another but she was a little to clingy for his liking.

I decided to make one 2-3 nights ago. So far I've sent out 4 messages and I've gotten 4 replies. Have also gotten 2-3 messages from girls who just aren't my type. The big thing for me is I just find out what they like, then proceed to give them a hard time/tell them the opposite of what it is they like.

Some girls are fun and engaging, but there are a few who just expect you to carry the entire conversation. Now I'm all for a guy being manly and leading a conversation if need be. But when they have a vocabulary that primarily consist of "lol" and "hahaha" I don't hesitate to move on.

But basically the idea of sitting at home playing NHL 13 while still meeting new girls was to good to pass up. If anyone is questioning doing something like this just go for it. Nothing to lose by putting yourself out there.

Probably gonna give it a rest until after the Holidays. Too busy and too many landmines during this holiday season lol.

Yeah, the girls that respond with one sentence are the worse.

Re: Anyone try online dating sites?

So, I'm currently rekindling with my old first love that I've know for near 20 years now. Things are great with her, but at points, she can be flaky which bothers me.

I want to continue to work on things, because after all, she was my high school sweetheart, but at the same time I want to be able to explore and see what else is out there and maybe find someone I connect with more, if it's even possible.

After hearing the pros and cons from everyone, I'm definitely going to do it and see what happens. At this point, I have nothing to lose other than what, 15 bucks? Although without even creating a profile yet, I'm already afraid of the quality of talent in the area that I live in now. -_-

This one girl I am talking too will give pretty detailed responses like she is interested, but then asks nothing in return. Makes it feel like an interrogation. She also has no full body pictures and likes video games, so I am very wary.

It kind of sucks being 22. Most of the chicks my age or older are interested in someone older than them. Doesn't keep me from messaging, but that's the excuse I am using for when they don't reply. I think 2/3 of the pretty in depth conversations I am having are with someone under the legal drinking age. Having to come up with non-alcoholic venues for a potential first date.

13, OkCupid is free and I don't know exactly what the benefits of the monthly subscription are. The free service is more than enough for me. Match.com and eHarmony are the ones that gets your money.

I started one with OKCupid. The quality actually seems pretty good. I think whats important here is you can't use this as the only way to meet chicks. If you use it as a secondary method and you are pretty laid back about it I think you'll be golden.

Yeah man I feel I can relate, 22 year old here as well. I think a big positive in my favor is the fact I'm in the Boston "market." With all of the Universities around here if you can't find a 21-23 year old who doesn't have a great degree from a good school you're blind.. I know around here most of the 19-20 year olds have fake ID's so keep that in mind and just go for it.

The fact she likes video games is questionable though. Personally I think video games are my thing and I wouldn't be down with a girl who plays as well. But thats just me. I know there are plenty of beautiful girls who play zombies or any game in general though.
