Anyone try online dating sites?

So I have a date tonight with the girl from POF that my friend started messaging for me last week. We were supposed to hang out last Thursday but she kinda blew me off then texted me that night apologizing. We've had some good conversations since then and she seems really sincere about meeting up. Here's to hoping it all goes well.

I tread very carefully with girls that cancel dates. Most of them I stop talking to.

Re: Anyone try online dating sites?
I need someone to slap some sense into me. Please?
I kept talking to that girl that kept getting on dating sites, which she deleted after giving me a whole pissy bitchfit about it. So here's the rundown. I've driven to see her probably 20-25 times. She's come to see me.....0. That's an hour and a half round trip and like $7-8 gas for me each time too. Including gas I've probably spent like $400-500, she's bought ice cream for us once and drives short distances occasionally. Now she's all bitchy because I wouldn't come see her on Saturday and is saying stupid things on facebook to try and make me look bad. Something about how apparently I don't appreciate her and go out of my way to make her happy. This chick isn't even technically my girlfriend!
Someone please tell me why the hell I'm still wasting my time? It's not even looks because I could do much better in that department.
You have to get over the hero ambition. I'm not saying the nice guy. I'm saying the hero. The guy that tries, makes an effort, fights for the relationship, but knows he doesn't benefit at all from it. That's the ultimate hero. That guy is a dream. That's the male equivalent of the female princess role.
Move on. Any relationship that starts this rocky will never suddenly smooth out unless one person is completely giving up. If you want to give up, continue. Re: Anyone try online dating sites?
This short girl may be end up being the weirdest girl I've dated. From the date Friday and various phone conversations she's asked/told me:
- Are you a brony? (Her ex was a brony, can't go through with that again) This was within the first 10 minutes of the date also.
- Discussion about Left 4 Dead, including her and I yelling "Pills here!" at various points.
- Telling me straight up that she thought the date was going to be awful because she thought I was some preppy, fitness nut.
- Tells me all the other guys she dates from OKC look like Seth Rogan. (I should give her your account Fresh)
- Has me listed in her contacts as Krieger. (Gave her my number while talking about Archer)
- While discussing It's Always Sunny, told me that I'm a Dennis because I'm "a ladies man". Also told me the D.E.N.N.I.S system wouldn't work on her.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

What is a brony?
She sounds like a cool girl judging from that short-list.
Might have something going on this weekend. Just have to figure out what. One of our topics of conversation has been breakfast lol.Last edited by Fresh Tendrils; 01-21-2013, 03:28 PM.

Though it seems (and its happening to me now) that a woman will do everything to make sure you are not like her ex. I've had recent girls say things like "I like that about you. And I like it because my ex wouldn't do that."
Uh okay?
Anyway, you might not be a brony, but I wonder if there's a good name we can come up with for a frequent OS member. Stevie?
