I don't care about no college if their occupation explains it.
If they work in film, For example, I get it. Why the heck go to school for that? It's not necessary. Just a waste of money.
If they talk about wanting to be a doctor but are 31 with only a high school education and still haven't started the process, I'm going to pass, though laughing hard will likely be my first step.

And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Re: Anyone try online dating sites?
Well, I have another Grouper Thursday night and here's the best part. I set up a group of 3 and my friend who invited me on the last two set up a group of 3, and he had the brilliant idea of us being in the same place. So, I emailed Erika and requested it...the 6 of us will be on our Grouper dates at the same place and knowing the characters I'm friends with....
This should be a lot of fun.Rice Owls - Houston Astros/Dynamo/Rockets/Texans - Arsenal - PSGComment

I gave up on the Grouper. Either someone else is seeing me and rejecting me while I don't get to see anything, or I just haven't spammed enough people to join up so I have no chance anyways.Comment

OKC seems like the pickiest group of women on the planet and all the attractive ones are either taken or don't respond. I don't know what the deal is. I've been ranked as a 5 star 41 times on OKC, but can't get one damn response back.

Maybe its the area? I had a pretty good success rate as far as replies go, but few of them actually panned out.
I met the most people on OKC, but the one that is sticking I met through match.com - will be 6 months on the 26th.

If you go the "Quickmatch" area, it will show you how many people have rated you "highly" which is 4 or 5 stars. If your A-List you can see exactly what they rate you.Cubs | Bulls | Dolphins | 'Noles

Re: Anyone try online dating sites?
Things are basically done with my current "girlfriend".
We have dated since February, but she's leaving for basic training and the Navy later this month and I'm a pretty realistic person. She's awesome and It sucks that we will have to break up, but it is what it is.
I leave in November and I'll be gone in about the time she goes to A school. I'm sure we will still talk and keep in touch and junk, but being a couple long distance likely won't work. I would rather us split, be friends while things are going smooth, keep in touch, and you never know. One day down the road, when things are in order it might come back around. It sucks, but at the same time I try to look at it this way: We never would have met in the first place if it wasn't for the Navy.
Regardless of what happens, I met a really awesome person and we have had a lot of fun.
Anyways, enough about my bull ****, I'm thinking about setting up a preliminary profile somewhere. I don't want to just be bored all the time, waiting to ship out in November and I think the best thing to do to keep from getting hung up on one girl is to try and meet some other people.
I wonder if I should even bother mentioning the fact I'm in The Navy and won't be around much come November. It could help drive home the fact I'm not looking for anything really serious right now, but on the other hand it might turn a lot of girls away. Any thoughts or suggestions about that ?
I have a current job so I could always tmention that instead and bring up my future if it comes up on a date or something.Last edited by AUChase; 07-10-2013, 05:24 PM.Comment
