All I'll say is restaurants come up with coupons and gimmicks to get people through the door for a reason. Quality places don't have to rely on such things. Good food and great service trump a $5 off coupon or 2 people eat for $19.99 at Applebees any day of the week for me.

I just let the girl pay for everything.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

That's fine for you guys that live in metro areas. For those of us in the sticks, chain restaurants on the interstate are 95% of what we have. All I'll say is restaurants come up with coupons and gimmicks to get people through the door for a reason. Re: Have/Would You Use Coupons On a Date?
QFT. I wouldn't take anyone on a date there mostly because the food is awful.. Might as well take your date to Denny's or Red Lobster while you're at it.
No I wouldn't use a coupon, although to be honest I don't use coupons anyway. Too much effort to save 30 cents on some thing.Comment

You must not have looked at the link. But if you want to believe quality places don't offer coupons, then be my guest. I am providing you info that disputes your theory but you are still talking reckless. All I'll say is restaurants come up with coupons and gimmicks to get people through the door for a reason. Uh how much effort does it take to just hand someone a little piece of paper that you cut out from the newspaper. Cutting coupons saves OVER TIME, saving money here and there and here and there adds up.Concrete evidence/videos pleaseComment

Amen. I can go grocery shopping where they double the value & save $15-20 on $80-100 worth of groceries. For me, that is about $250 a year.-August 17, 1960Originally posted by VP Richard M. Re: Have/Would You Use Coupons On a Date?
Not on a 1st date but my girl, hell yeah but most of the restaurants we go to don't really have coupons.
In general if you don't use coupons/promotional codes online then you're an idiot. Why would you not want to save 15% for example at Macy's or some other dept. store?Comment

Talking reckless? I'm talking from over 25 years of experience in the restaurant business. With that being said, I guess I'll just keep on living life not holding on to the handrail.Comment

Re: Have/Would You Use Coupons On a Date?
Not on a 1st date, but by about the month mark or 3rd or 4th date, I'd have no problem saying I have a 2 for 1 to Olive Garden, want to eat there?
During that 1st month of dating it costs some major coin. A good dinner and drinks and something afterward will set you back a couple bills. Can't do that all the time. They get to see that about twice, then either its going to be long term or I'm cutting my losses and moving on.
But I'm married now, so I don't have to worry about such things.
Now, we don't go out to eat unless we have a coupon.
