For those who haven't taken the MAT...every question is organized like this...
Dog:Paw::Horse: (a. hoof b. beak c. wing d. colt)
Obviously you are looking for the pattern so Hoof would be the answer.
It's 120 questions and you have 60 minutes to do it.
The first 30 or so questions look like the example I gave...pretty easy. I'm flying through it thinking about the epic record setting score I'm about to get (599 out of 600) and then the sh** hits the fan.
This test takes a sudden turn and the questions start to look like this...
Monet: Paris:: (a. Manet b. Locke c. Shelley d. Gaugin) : Tahiti
What? (I guessed and got it right, it's Gaugin, but good lord)
Basically the last 30 questions are nothing but Philosophy, French Impressionists, Shapes that I've never heard of in my freaking life, and Early British Philosophers.
I think I did ok, but good lord....I don't see how you can study for that thing.
If I did fail it the first time around...I know what I'm studying for my next try.... Every freaking French Philosopher, artist, and composer as well as ridiculous geometric shapes that you will never see or talk about outside of the MAT test.
I'm gonna go play some video games now and get rid of all this "learnin'" I've been doing.
